Guys, I'm too happy for words with the new interior installed on my Mark. It's the best money I've spent on the vehicle
considering how bad the interior was before. I've attached some pictures for your enjoyment of the old interior &
the newly installed interior. Look @ the pictures of the old interior with the missing center console lid, horrible drivers side seat, etc... I finished the center console & left the rest for the Upholstery shop. Check out the details of the CobraStar emblem. It's beyond beautiful. I almost don't want to sit down on the seats, lol.:D

Looks good. I would stay with beige carpet. Black might be over doing it.

Well... At least you used a Cobrastar emblem instead of a Cobra emblem, like the other guy...

:D

I said the same thing. I am not sure though on how I feel about the two toned seats, very rarely do I like two tone seats though.

It was a tough desicion but after numerous designs that I worked on in photoshop, this one came out on top. I wanted something diferrent for sure. I took quite a few mark VIII (stock interior) pics from google or from this site & created about 6 diferrent interior colors. 3 of them were 2 toned combo, one thing was for sure, I was not too fond of the brown colors in the car so I knew that had to go. I painted that 3 weeks ago (brown to black). Still missing the brown rear quarter panels which I'll paint in a few weeks, I'm not in a rush. My priority right now is that rug. It's gotta go. Overall I'm very, very pleased with my desicion.
My next costumization will be to the engine bay. I just ordered (used)the OEM engine cover for the 93-95 which I will be customizing with a Cobrastar or regular Cobra emblem in the middle hiding away the intake manifold.

Nice... Like the embroidery!

How much?

I was thinking about that...

I would love the subdued emblem in my seats, and white piping

Well, I can fight for a great price, the initial estimate was $650.00 to which I was shocked at how cheap but once they started to look at the pictures I photoshopped, the price doubled. The Cobrastar with the MARK VIII alone was $155.00 per seat. They literally told me because of the work, the leather, the emblem, etc... It would be about $1,250.00.
So, I did what I do best, I placed a "fake" call to my "fake" friend & pretended to ask how much they quoted him at the "Other place" & I hung up. I kindly told the guys thanks but I'm getting it done for $900.00 at the other shop & as soon as I turned around, they agreed to lower the price to $900.00 as long as I come back & do more stuff to the car with them. I ofcourse agreed since I do want a couple more things done to my car's interior & honestly, around my neck of the woods, $900.00 is a great price for both front seats + the back seat + the Cobrastar logo. :D

Very nice! I love it. Looks really sharp and doesnt look tacky like some "custom" interiors. I am gonna have to copy your idea.

Go with the black carpet - hits dirt/stains very well compared to beige.

TCCoA has a thread somewhere with a black/tan interior, looks very sharp IMHO.

Very nice job on the seats, huge upgrade huh?

Copy all you want. I'm glad I serve as a base for some that want to do the same in their cars. I just hope you guys can get the same or similar deal. Whether or not you do, it's so worth it in the end.

I've been truly thinking of that, plus I like dark interiors. I used to have tan interior in my Lariat, changed the theme, went with black/grey & bougth a brand new black rug. I cannot complain at all. I'm very happy with the black rug.

imho,
black carpet to match the seat color and steering wheel. Right now those seats stand out way to much on the beige. You have enough beige with the door panels, center console, center seat treatment, etc.

looks great! they comfy?

Thanks Slick... I told the guys to add some cushioning so yes, EXTREMELY comfortable. One thing I admit (as a FORD fan) is that Ford Leather isn't really the best & the filling inside the seats aren't as cushy. So I told them to add a bit of cushioning. They are super comfy, I don't want to get outta the car & when I'm sitting down, I can't stop starring at the passenger seat logo. :D
Nice seats very nice.

Thanks MisterMac

I have to agree with you there. I rather have more black on beige than beige on black. I'll still have the dash, door panels, bottom half of the quarter panels & the roof liner. All in due time. I'm hoping I can get it done in the next 3 weeks.

Black Rug!!!!!!! Our logo came out awesome in full color emboidery. I LOVE it.

Thats exactly what I wanted. a FULL color CobraStar logo. I took a few logos form your website + a few more from other pictures around the forums, played with the colors of the logo & forget it, it had to be full colored with the red star in order to really appreciate the depth of the detail on the Cobra + it's the one true way that it says "Lincoln Motorsports" otherwise from far away it can be confused as a plain Cobra. In a couple weeks I'll be getting some decals done as well then in about a month I'll be taking a set of black floor mats to have done with the CobraStar to match.:D

bro those seats look bad a$$$$$$$$$!!! where did you get them done at that place on 8 street around 32nd ave?

Thanks Marv, yeah, since I bought the car I knew what I wanted to do more or less with the interior. I couldn't bare seeing those torn seats & dealing with the broken seat track so I purchased a used "grey" seat in perfect working order took the car straight to the upholstery place.
It's not the ppl on 8th street, those people told me $1,400.00 & didn't budge! I asked them to work a better price but there was no way I could get them to lower it. $1,400 was the lowest they would go. I went to the place on 22'nd & 3rd Street. They've been there for 43 years & they are well known. I think their name is De Colores. Worth every penny bro.

Thanks for all the cool comments guys, I can't wait to finish that interior though. Chances are I may end up sending it back to the same place I did the seats to do the rug. It's about $130 installed as oppossed to $120.00 on ebay + I have to install it.

That's cheap.

I'm guessing they'd take the short cut and simply cut the new carpet where it goes behind the dashboard, then.
