ill be the one to give a *positive* imagine that? response.. i dont care much for the cloth tops, but i dont think the car looks bad. it probably is a dealer add on for a lincoln... which happens to be a luxury car, and im sure most of the mark viii sales went to older people that bought it for the luxury, which a cloth top always meant. i have seen much worse. i like the pearl.
moral of the story is... this isnt a very big forum, and it seems like every other thread is nothing but negative responses.. i belong to much bigger forums, and everyone gets along.. i dont post much.. and sometimes its better to keep the mouth shut, instead of being a post whore... is there a trophy for the most posts??
those few who do nothing but complain, and put people down should give up on the lincoln, and go buy a volvo.. and anyone who works at a volvo dealer, should know what i mean.

nice car. any vids? im thinking about nitrous..

There is nothing wrong with pearl, I own a 98 lsc with ivory pearl and I love it.
Dont mind about the haters, the carriage top is not my cup of tea either but if you like it thats cool.

There is a lot of negativity on this forum. I didn't mean my response as negative really though. And carrage tops are not my thing but I've seen worse ones on Mark VIIIs.

The cars looks to be in good shape. The top does make it look slow you should also wear an old mans hat to finish the look. LOL You really need to get the bottle opener and heater for this to be a real street sleeper. If nothing else get the heater. It makes a huge difference in power. Anyway what are your times with this 150 shot.

hehe there she is... I like the car besides the top. How is she running now? havent seen you in a while

What color is the interior, Abe? Any pics?

heres an older pic from when I first got it that I have. I have the floor mats in now, n20 arm switch, pioneer mp3 head unit single dinn and some two switches that I need to mount... ( i am thinking in the parking light and and light spots for the switch dial and the purge, they are about proper size to fit in there.

plus 1 for the bottle warmer, it doesn't do much with out it being up to pressure (needs heat). In the summer it was around 1100-1200, not its like 600 ish full with the weather. Tomorrow is gonna be 60 will see how it goes.

The carriage top looks sweet from certain angles. Ugly in others, imo. I didn't want one with the top, so I may remove it: but i don't knwo how much body work goes into doing that, and what the condition will be once it's off.

I dont want to take it off only to regret doing so if I am not planning on the painting the car in the near future.

Cool, interior looks to be in reasonable shape. Nice to see a console lid that isn't messed up.

From what I hear, removing a cloth top is more trouble than it's worth. The back window seal will have been trimmed, there will be holes in the bodywork and the paint will likely be no good.

Its a open form....people can say what they want so they do.
Sure there are a few dust ups here and there, but that makes LVC what it is.

Abe that car does sleep be careful on the street.
The best sleepers are always "hidden" dont mess with the top just drive it.

The car is in good shape and drives great. I like it.

If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is. :)

You'd likely regret doing anything with the cloth top. It looks to be in good shape. Keep some silicone on it and you'll be good to go.

Thats one hell of a sleeper! You should have left the windows clear though to add to the sleeper look:D I see your also from pennsylvania......nice;)
