Waiting Room

and I happen to already have 8 brand new in the box Visteon's ready for it.

Got it home, despite the misfiring, I stopped by that town's local spray wash and cleaned it under hood and all over, cleaned up nicely. Set of extra tires with it.

Heated seats work, all accessories seem to work other then I noticed the lower lumbar moter makes noise rather then inflate the seat bag. <shrugs>

They got taken by the dealership for 2700$ on new throttle body and throttle sensor position module + three coils.

It misfires like crazy. On one restart it idled nicely and I stomped on it going down the old back hiway for a good three minutes when it went into ETC fail safe mode again. Knowing the injector get shut down during fail safe mode, I just cruised it home most the way.

I'll go over it and start with the new coils and plugs, throw the included CAI on, along with cleaning the MAF sensor, see if she'll behave as she should after that.

All in all, not a bad LSE, little rust on the rears near the doors, rear lift points a bit weak. small crack in the front bumper along the bottom.

Comes with an auto start which I didn't mess with yet or care to at this point. If it's trouble it's coming out!

Well have to see what we make of it. Not planning on sinking a ton of money in it. Might even cut the exhaust off it just for fun.

At the very least a good parts car for 1300$

I'll get some day time pics tomorrow.

... I noticed the lower lumbar moter makes noise rather then inflate the in seat bag. ...

There's no bag to inflate.

(Lumbar is adjusted by a motor that pulls on a cable that bends a rectangular piece of metal.)

Ah, got ya! always felt like air would go into a bag of sorts, now I know! +1

somethings amiss there, can hear the motor making noises but nothing happens.

* thinking too much about my air ride truck seat, which I'm sure the lumbar is as you mentioned above other then the up/down would be air.

Just to get it home in a hurry, I had the spare good '03 battery, a charged up boost pack, jumper cables, a CAA membership with a free tow on it, a borrowed dealership plate and my wife following in the 03 with the hazards on when other cars joined us. We made quick work of that trip at 40MPH, with nothing more then the dealer plate needed. Topped up 25$ of fuel on the way. It was after that stop it was clear of the fail safe mode for longer then usual. Got me a few miles down the road in a hurry before the next ETC failure slowed me down.

And so it begins.

"Welcome to Big Rig's Slinkin' LS Farm. If you want it, he got it. If he got it and you don't want it, you'll want it later."

Wonder what this thing would look like with cut stock springs, Camo Green dip, CIA, Torrie tune with single dual in/out Magnaflow?

Nah, this is your chance to do what they say can't be done, make a fast LS with an engine swap. If it doesn't work out you can always park it out on the back 40 until you need something off it.

faster!

Just got back from some MTO medical testing in town, gonna clean the 04 LSE up a little, get the mats out of it and such, take some inventory of needs. I'll try and get some pics before sun down today.

Nah, I'm really thinking Camo Green dip on this one by next spring/summer. Gonna be my Frankenstein LS. You know, they one I can beat on!

BTW: the 6 CD player actually works in this one, IMAGINE THAT !!!

I gotta head out for work for another week again, could someone please run my VIN, see what I got on my hands here.

Much thanks in advance ... oh and the lumbar does actually work just noisy motor when it hits either end.

EDIT: Loud1, just watch, now that I'll start using it ... it will break, went through this twice already with my 01.

Sure, I'll do it for you, this one time...

Thats a nice LS, I honestly wouldn't **** with it too much, those black ones a mint when they are clean. Also, whats this business about the 6CD player, never had any trouble from mine.

A clean 2005 ?? LSE as seen driving down the freeway yesterday morning. It had a dealer plate on it, so maybe he will be selling.

Where do you get Vin info like this?

I can't find the "LS sighting" thread anymore so I'll post here....

Was attending my daughter's graduation today from GCU and noticed a nice white (possibly Ivory Tri-coat) sitting on a set of Senta wheels. The car was in the driveway on Missouri Ave on the north side of the GCU campus. From what I could see it was pretty clean.

Does it belong to anyone here?

On a side note we've made our last trip to PHX for probably a very long time. We've done, as best as I remember, 8 or 9 trips this year!

I's say Roadwayer, but he has VOXX wheels and lives in N PHX.

I'll have to check it out.

Maybe I'll catch you in SD someday. Congrats to your daughter and her graduation.

http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/vindecoder.php is a start

I'd guess someone has access to this

http://www.fleet.ford.com/login/?redirecturl=/partsandservice/vin-decoder/

I had my info printed in the same style as what Joe posted while I working at a dealership. I don't know what my boss used, but I'm sure a friend a dealership would know

Couldn't find it through the search with the site (I feel like it doesn't even try anymore) but google keyword "miseed" (instead of missed) found it pretty quick.

But the thread died anyway

I hope so and.... THANKS!!!!! She couldn't graduate any higher than "with honors" as she brought in too many credits. Had she had the required GCU units she would have had at least a gold cord!!

We're sooooo proud of our little girl!!
