Well, as some of you are already aware, it's been a month since my wife & I were planning a nice trip to central Fl. We were planning to drive about 800 miles & visit surrounding counties but we decided to stay around Orlando, Apopka & Kissimmee. We are enjoying Disney World, Universal Studios & all the amenities in between. I will upload more pictures when I have more time. I'm still up here in Kissimmee. :)

NOTE: ALL PICTURES ARE TAKEN WITH A WIDE ANGLE LENS! Some are cool, some should go on a regular lens but I got tired of taking the lens off & back on so I just left it on. Enjoy!

(PS: Apopka, FL sucks. We visited Apopka today & I thought I was driving through an episode of Honey Boo Boo & Hoarders)

The prairie tan is behaving beautifully. These cars are meant for the open road. I'm loving the drive!

We ran across this car the very moment we got off the highway. What a way for Orlando to welcome us, lol.

Cool pictures! The ones on the interstate look neat, I'd love to be able to have nice weather and take mine down the open road cruising at 75..some of those pics of universal studios bring back some memories of my childhood..been about 15-20 years since I was there last.

neat. haven't road tripped in mine lately. i want to. maybe florida over spring break.
last year some friends and i took a trip to chicago with a go pro. set it to take a pic every ten seconds and stuck it to the back window pointed into the car. that made for a cool video.

they are like little mini pointy cinder blocks! perfect for puncturing your windshield.

Guys It's been a long day. I will reply &post more pics on Wednesday. As for the car with all the crap on it? There's obsession, then there's fanatism. The guy is a "Jesus" fanatic. The car has God knows how many bible passages written all over. Most of the items you see on the car are all religious. The rest are random. From Buzz Light Year to a transformer.

Yeah, if a pebble can chip-----> Crack one at moderate speeds i'm sure those could do the same at highway speeds.

We are doing an Audit of the Haunted mansion this month, this morning I got to walk through HM with the lights on. Always wondered how they did the effect to make the ghosts looks like they are having a party in the dining room. Its a really, really neat effect. That, and the building is huge!

Dan, you have the SICKEST job ever!!! I saw a program on TV about 2 years ago on how many of Disney World's effects were 20 - 30 years ahead of it's time. They mentioned it involves mirrors in different angles, etc...

On a side note: My wife just screams to me from the kitchen; "You have too many Gen 1 parts you DON'T need, give them to Dan in exchange for free access!" lol.

Anyway, I should be posting more pictures in a little bit.

dude sweet I would love to take my mark viii on a trip...but the way its acting up I just don't trust it.....yet.

Hey Alex, you wouldn't believe how simple that specific effect is, and it is so cool. That ball room scene has no people in it, but underneith the ride path is a bunch of basically mannequins on fixtures that are dancing and some are stationary. About 12 feet out from where you sit are floor to ceiling glass panels. You see through it so you can see the dining room, but the moving "ghosts" are reflected off the glass. It was the coolest thing I have seen there yet. Definitely ahead of its time.

Guys, I'm planning another trip to Orlando in March. My wife & I bought annual passes for Universal Studios & we're taking full advantage of them. Also, there are 2 VERY good hotels that we know. One is on Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, the other on Int'l Drive. They are $33.00p/night. We should all meet up at Ol' Town or something. As usual, I will be driving my prairie tan.

Ok, to the rest of the gang? I owe you a batch of pictures. Been busy since I got home from vacation but I finally have time to set these up & post them. I took well over 600 pictures but only grabbed a few so you guys don't get bored to death! ENJOY!

This is the route we took to Orlando

We enjoyed Disney World (Magic Kingdom) on Saturday, went to Universal Studios on Sunday, went to Apopka & North Orlando including Downtown Orlando on Monday, Monday night we went to Downtown Disney, ate at T-Rex which is basically a ritual for us then we went to Islands of Adventure & back to Universal Studios on Tuesday. We came back home Wednesday afternoon.

For those of you that have been here... This used to be the "Back to the Future" ride. It closed down in 2007 & in 2010 they opened the Simpson's Ride. I really enjoyed the Simpson's ride, in fact, we went on it about 4 times but man do I miss BTTF!!!

Gorgeous Crown Vic. Not a fan of pink but it's a Crown Vic. :)

This Cadillac was being driven by a Marilyn Monroe look a like & her passenger was a Lucille Ball look a like. Pretty cool sight. They can both be seen towards the rear of the car on either side.

I swear we went on this attraction more than 6 times. We loved it & we brought home some Minions.

One of the many places we chomped down on dinner!

Well, hope you guys have enjoyed the pictures. I plan on going back in late March & I can't wait. Going to be driving up there every 2-3 months this year.
