I love it!

Looks like your typical IL rust bucket. The wheels are shot, and the underbody has to be rough. Did you guys miss the engine bay shots on Flickr ?
Who cares about waxed door jambs if there is a "voodoo" eating it from inside out ... lol

Did I miss something? I've been looking. I do see rust but not something to be alarmed about.

Did you notice the date stamp on the Flicker photos is 2004? Uh, that's not exactly recent. :shifty: LOVE that color, though. Let me amend this... that car is gorgeous!!!!!! I want it.

Guy says he forgot to fix the date stamp on his camera. Wow. Now I really want this car.

Funny part about this comment is that 50% of us on this forum are serious about such comment... The other 50% have their wives looking over their shoulders! :D

I wont lie, I love my wife but If I was still single......I would be apart of the sweet LXXX club! And broke er er....

I could use a gen 2.....

Do it so we all can live vicariously through you.

+1...I'd never get a (-nother) car from up north..my brown one was a corp car for the first 100k in Mich...but my rusty undercarriage is not nearly as bad as some I've seen on here

I doubt its rusty, the chrome plating Ford did on these wheels is sh*t, my 20 spokes are pitting in the corners of the spokes too, and my car is rust free..with the exception of the exhaust and gas tank straps that have some surface rust..other than that its clean. It literally takes nothing for these wheels to bubble and flake. And nolimit that pic you posted of the wheel well isn't rust..that's a reflection of the armorall he sprayed in there lol..he mentioned he keeps this thing clean..and I believe him, cause I do the same. This guy also has a nice CE for sale on craigslist right now with just over 100k on it and its posted for $8k. It's as clean if not cleaner than this, so I doubt this midnight grey car is gonna go for very cheap. Probably over $6,000 for the reserve.

I doubt its rusty,

You're kidding right ? :D Rust is crawling out of all crevices on this car.
The only way these circled areas show such corrosion is when the car is driven in very salty conditions, and then kept in a heated garage overnight. Worst situation you put the car thru.

I'd love to see few shots on a hoist. Only way to buy a mark viii, had a few myself ;)

Sad part is some poor guy will buy it based on outside appearance. Then all the brake lines, trans lines, rockers, ABS pump etc ... will fail.

That happens if the car sees any bit of moisture, what do you expect? It has 90k miles on it. Just because there's some corrosion on bolts that are exposed to the elements doesn't mean the cars is rotted out. It ain't a show car if that's what youre expecting.

I doubt it's a rustbucket. But it does make one wonder. I bought My Explorer knowing it came from PA. The whole underside is rusty. The rocker panels have been replaced because they rusted off. I need to find a new rear bumper because it has rust holes in it. I got it because of the low mileage, color, 4x4, and the price was right. And it's never let me down yet. But you take chances with any purchase. Luckily my Mark is completely rust free :)

I need to show you what real rust is MMaker. My car is clean for up here but the engine bay is rustier than a few bolts.

I have the same car with black interior but its not an lsc. If anybody comes across lsc grill and side mouldings i would sure like to have them

Mint rear window seal...... car is out of the rust belt.
Seller needs to show better pics of the bottom of the doors, under side of car.
A pic of the evap tray will tell the story.
I wouldn't buy it without under body pictures.

Ask warden.:(

I went and looked at a "mint" gen one LSC here in the rust belt.
Car looked awesome from the pics old man car, 56k miles.
The car looked good from the pics.... looked mint they were asking 7k for this car.

The hoist tells the story, every time.
