Since I am a gentleman..... When you explain yourself how you you raced a automatic STi, then i will exert my experinces.
Thus
I may be a newb here but I don't BS. Not gonna find an automatic STi anywhere but AUS apparently. To offer the automatic there didn't take anything special on Subaru's part; the same transmission was always available behind the 2.5 turbo in the Legacy GT.
FWIW, my Superchipped 01 Grand Marquis (ran 9.9 @ 73 in the 1/8th) outran a stock 02 WRX 5spd from a 40 roll. Without his AWD advantage the ol' Marquis pulled steadily. From 60-90 it was a veritable beat down.
------ and the brakes aren't too great.
I don't know...... Stoptech could only manage about an 18' shorter stopping distance from 60 than the stock brakes (109' vs 127'). That's just over a car length. While 109' is impressive, so is 127' stock. Granted 18' could be the difference between an accident or not, but the brakes certainly are much better than "not too great".
Kind of like Magnaflow could only manage 5hp over the stock '03 exhaust.
Those guys that told you all those things you think are possible, are the same type of guys who made promises to Alax. You know how long he was without it? (Alax, if you are reading this, i apologize for bringing it up)
the white LS is ugly![]()
well even when you're driving a stick you're supposed to keep both hands on the steering wheel and only let go to change gears.
And i'd imagine at those speeds most people would want to hang on to their steering wheels with both hands.
I dont know... I've seen this guy drive alot and have never seen him use two hands...

The stoptechs aren't for stopping distance they're mainly for tracking the vehicle. Repeated hits of the stock brakes and they suck compared to other vehicles I've driven. Brembos can take a lot more abuse or even the 355mm jag brakes are much better.
What do you mean by "they suck"? I have autocrossed my LS (as well as the guy that designed the suspension, Jonathon Crocker) with factory brakes and never had a braking issue. They didn't fade at all nor glazed over. There is a reason the calipers are aluminum and the fronts are dual-piston.
... As soon as the pedal is pressed the car slows down and pushes you back in the seat...
to all the people posting the specs from car and driver, that doesnt relate to real life at all. we didnt race from a dead start, we raced from 50km his had paddle shifters and a cai. I have a tune, cold air, exhaust, and was running in sst.
Anyways what kind of motor could I fit? I seen the lincoln lsx, I would LOVE to just go that route and dump a powerful engine to it with a new tranny? any options. turbo or supercharging it doesnt really seem worth it.
Do you want the electronics to work?

I could careless about electronics. Probably gonna gut it and roll cage it. like i said this is not my daily driver, I want to do something like quick or lsx did, but take it a step further. like mixed with the guy who gutted his and roll caged it but never did anything else. I want to go all out. i want something fast and unique. I have the money to dump into it so dont lecture me plz lol.
