It's sad ... No longer a member of the Sweet 16

You know what this means though.... Wait a little while, save up some cash, get yourself another Mark VIII in good shape & call it "THE SUBSTITUTE!"

LOL ... For those who have driven that car .... I doubt you'll find a substitute ... I guess the car fell into the wrong hands. While Marked8 had it for about a year ... she was at the track enjoying life. I just had fun airing it out on the open hwy ..

She would have been a great racer ... But wasn't in my blood ....

We'll see how things go this next year ... My 93 is a great car nice and solid ... needs a couple tweaks but after that I'm sure I'll be letting her make love to the hwy ....

What junkyard was it taken to?

I wonder if it is too late to save.

A few weeks ago my daughter in law got a flat under 10 miles. I an officer and a friend of her's managed to strip one of the lug nuts. So I have to call a tow. The tow truck was passing her as he got the call ... Cost $100 for a tow of about 3 miles.

Was the car towed because of one stripped lug nut? A tow for 3 miles and him passing by at the time of the call is unreal. I consider $75 to be high where I live but Parker Towing does it every time for $50 and I would say their range is probably 25 miles round trip. I had the ex-girlfriends car towed from Madison, AL. to Huntsville, AL. and dropped off at a shop to have something fixed because I don't work on Mazda Proteges. He came to her apartment complex and loaded it onto his flatbed and took it to a shop back in Huntsville for $50 flat. He was in Huntsville when I called him so, he came out of one city, picked up and then took it back into the city he came out of. I have since called him again for a family member to go pick up a 2005 Taurus and he charged $50 for that tow too. He accepts cash, check cards or checks, while he sits inside his flatbed. Easy going guy and no problem to deal with. Must be the Southern Hospitality... :D

It's all about making a buck here ... no Southern Hospitality ...

I barrowed a cordless impact but I couldn't get a socket to bite ... even the one I was able to pound on spun off. So I was screwed ...

Reedsburg Salvage ... Reedsburg, WI

Find out what they are asking for the entire car if you can Rich.
I am betting by your description that a seal in the tranny let go and it will not move because of lack of fluid.

Ummm ... you don't know my son and cars ... that might be ... but it needs GMAN to clean it up and I'm not putting anymore money into it .... I did think that after .... I just don't have the extra cash right now to do anything to get it or put into it. The last two years I was using it as my winter car and only taking it out once in a while in the summer. My 93 is my baby now ... and she's a good car. Might not run quite like the 94 but she does me well.
