Can I borrow $57,500?

NO Fin way. 42,000 for a 4.6 engine. You can buy brand new FMS 5.0 Aluminator for 9K this engine is already up to 1250HP TT Hellon kit.

I agree... that's way too much smack for the combo listed. $5K for the tranny and rear end I believe is more realistic. You can easily put $10K on a crate engine or a built forged engine and if you double that for the added SC, you're still only at $20K.

I bet it doesn't get reserve price.

What a joke..why would you dump that kind if cash into a mark viii and expect to turn around and sell it for an outrageous amount of $$..regardless if has a blown built 4v in it and runs 11s..I don't know many people willing to spend nearly $60k on a 14 y/o lincoln and have it only turn 11 sec 1/4 mile times..sh*t how much was tom kaspers pro mod mark listed for on racingjunk not too long ago??

There was a Sean Hyland Mark up here running around for a bit too, dunno what happened to it though, the owner wanted 15k or something for it, which is far cheaper than this one above. Your paying for Sean Hylands name... ;)

Are Seans 4V reground cams the ones I read about being all over the place? Meaning out of specs.

Ooooh look it has an interior hood release AND a V-style engine! Thank god!!!!!! Those are the two selling points I look for in a car

Lol

OH THANK GOD!!!!

the last car i bough on craigslist had the hood release in the truck, and no trunk release! god damn honda's :shifty:

I built enough of these engines now with 2 making 1000WHP on pump gas. So no way in hell would I pay that kind of money. Just a matter of making the time to do the engine swap is my major stop from doing anything like this :(

Good luck with that sale LMAO! Sean Hypeland built too?? No way. Grenade factory. I cant even sell a REAL RARE SLEEPER one off Mark for 35k!!

If you are going pushrod engine you can get any large cube 351W in 430+ cube range to pull same or more HP #'s N/A for same money. I just read parts list that sucker comes with ton of stuff!

Yeah true, if you want to keep it all ford, I just like the idea of a modern engine in a modern car with fuel injection and decent (in relative terms) gas mileage for a 427 inch 600 hp engine..but then again I'm a Chevy guy at heart :D

How is that engine any more modern then 427W? There both cast iron blocks, pushrod engines.

fords windsor series engine made it's debut in 1962...the LS1-1997. sure they made upgrades to the 302, 351 over the years but in the end it's a 50 year old motor, I wouldn't say the small block chevy is still "modern" even though it was produced all the way up to 2000, there are certain things about it that are just inferior in comparison to the newer LS motor..

I'm sure you will come back with a good argument on fords behalf condisering you're a ford fan, but all i know is I'd take a brand new crate LSX 454 for $14K over a blown mod motor making less power (with a blower mind you) for $21K..or go the easy way out and get a junk yard 6.0, swap heads intake and cam and have an easy 500+hp at the crank for a fraction the cost of either of those options..

Heh... Mod motor modern? I think not.

4 cams DOHC, all aluminum..... Sound familiar? Other then it's huge...

I do find it amusing how much LSx motors remind me of Ford's Nascar engines...
