Does anyone have a Xcal for sale and how much is it from Torrie. I would also like any information about it. Any opinions and facts would be appreciated.

Info about the XCal and the XC2 can be found on SCT's website. www.sctflash.com. I will say this, make sure you buy it from an SCT dealer, not eBay. There is guys trying to sell used units as new on ebay. I have heard of Torrie and he has a solid reputation in the tuning community. I would give him a call and discuss your car with him.

Remember 0 if you purchase a 'used' unit - it is no good to you with out new tunes built on your PCM code - so you are not likely able to reuse the tunes already in the unit. You will have to get a tuner (like Torrie) to build new tunes for you - I have no idea what that costs.

Yep. When buying used or from non-authorized SCT dealers you will likely get a blank device or one with tune for a different PCM as Quik described. Most tuners charge $50-$100 for a tune if you didn't buy the unit from them. In the end, it usually cost you more than if you would have bought it new, and from a reputable dealer.

Torrie says that he will set up your tune to your specific desires, and work with you until you get a program that you like. I would go with him.

Torrie has a great reputation, probably knows more about LS tuning than anyone with that unit. I asked him questions via email, and he responded right away! Haven't even bought one yet, but when I do, it will be from him.

Ya. I have to say it suprised me how quickly he emailed back with any questions i had. I have mine on its way in the mail as we speak and cant wait to load in the tune. Im curious if anyone else here who got one has done a before and after on the dyno. Eventually im planning on bringing my car in to the dyno but curious what numbers other people have gotten.

I will be doing a before and after dyno session. Probably not until the spring though. Even with the heated seats, it is still to cold to tune. :)
