I'm looking for a one piece driveshaft. Gettin some tranny work done soon and figured now would be a good time to put in a new driveshaft. Ya know in case some gears happen to get lost and find there way to my doorstep someday. :)

Yeah, I'm hoping for a 93 one piece. Can't really afford an aftermarket one right now.

Thank you sir. One other question, how do I tell if it's a one piece or a two piece?

This is a one piece

Search is your friend. 94s are two piece, 93s are one piece. It says so in this goddamn thread. My spoon is now filthy and my bib has crap all over it.

You want a 2 piece from a 93. Less vibration.

I'd give you the other option of a Denny's driveshaft, but they don't make 'em no mo'. You can tank Alcoa (the tube manufacturer) for that.

Don't forget Dynotech:

Dennys may not have updated their site, but they are still showing the Mark VIII driveshafts for sale:

This is yet another option:

Thanks, this is the answer to my previous question. So a one piece driveshaft has groove at one end.

*slaps head*

:D

Yes, the right picture i.e. the one with the big gap is the two piece.

I can't tell because the pics are not the best but it looks like a 2 piece not a 1 piece. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Third pic of that Ebay ad definitely shows a 2 piece - can see the gap after the bead weld.

maybe you should contact him and ask for better pics. i couldnt see a gap in the third pic. but the pictures or very small at least to me they are. its not uncommon for people on ebay to say one thing and show pics of another. i hate people that do that. title stated it was a one piece shaft

E bay crap pics.

Just use car part, save your self some money.
You should be able to find one under $100 bones.
Take it to a good drive line shop and have them balance and straighten the shaft.

If your going to run over 100+ mph frequently have the shop price a shaft using the ends off your shaft to make a high rpm shaft.

Compare that price to the price of the after market shafts posted by marked8 post #13.

Easy as pie.

Crawl you butt under your car...look at the shaft from the end were the u joints are.
You can the see wtf people are talking about when the say 2 piece shaft.
Then when you pick up your local one piece shaft you will know its a one piece by looking at it.
