WT*?! Really I wanna give up with this Transmission?

Nice just jinx me :roll eyes:

Took a while but found this after going all the way to the Autozone hub to get it

Will see if it solves any of the problems?

btw, what made you decide to get that instead of the MLPS? I mean, nothing wrong with swapping that out too but it's what others had an issue with like you had. I did have to put one of them in because in my black 94, my overdrive would quit after it heated up. After swapping out those solenoids, it fixed the problem and I never had an overdrive problem again for 5 years.

Only part I was able to get today. If this does not handle it then Tuesday I hit the Ford/Lincoln dealer and pick up MLPS.

Hate to play the just buy parts till I hit the right one but holiday weekend really screwed me over

Hard to believe AZ didn't have the MLPS for you, then again, they always say, I can order it for you. O'Reilly's is getting very bad about this same thing. I can order it and have it here tomorrow..... Hell no, I came today because I wanted it today, not tomorrow or the next day. Anyway, since you're changing the fluid and all, there is nothing wrong with swapping that out too and it may just be what's wrong with it but if not, at least the MLPS is on the outside and an easy swap too.

Yeah but they didn't have this either. I had to drive around 4 or 5 towns to get this from the hub. Would have been a 2 day wait otherwise.

Just buy the Super Mark and call it a day. :D Keep it automatic! God I love the sound of that car.

The Tasca Supermark Factory Supercharged Lincoln Mark VIII - YouTube

Well thats the thing, I played with my WRX in a not to serious way and got the thing to make 550 crank HP. When I was payed to build MOD engines 2 of the Aluminum engines made 1000HP on pump. All the Lightning engines were in the 800HP range on pump. However all those were on Superchargers and I prefer Turbo's.

I am watching TT50 and can't wait to see one in person to see the exhaust routing. I have a spare 96' engine just waiting for me to put in some Manley Turbo Tough Rod's N' Piston's :wrench

It's the swapping engines in the Mark that I am slacking off on

As for right now I'm trying to figure out how to come up with the jing for a 5.0 Stang and a TT50 kit :shifty:

http://twinturbo50.com/

they're really not that expensive (referring to someone sitting in a ford gt )you can find used 5.0 coyote from 4500-5500 all day online or turnkey from frpp for $6999, which is the way id go if i had the scratch. i almost had one earlier this year but it didnt work out, issues with title.
and i like it when they say "factory supercharged" when a mark viii hasnt rolled out of a factory in 14 yrs, of course i love tasca, but the genius behind the sound is Geno's LMS ehhaust with headers.

Would be quite interesting then cause the TT kit is $8500. If I could score a Coyote powered Stang around here for $4500 I would bite my tongue and pick one up :p

So here it is fresh from Ford/Lincoln and it cost me $80
Not sure if I got it installed correctly as it started to thunder and rain while I was under the car installing it. Not only that but wait till I get the pics of my cell of the unit that came off. Well wouldn't come off cause the input shaft for the selector was so rusted I thought it had a cir clip holding it on

Pulled off the unit and left the delrin center piece on the shaft

So if you have the neutral a bit off when you lock down the 8mm bolts what traits will the car show? Seemed to shift a bit high in RPM when I test drove it but it was pouring out so it would spin em if I tried any heavy throttle. Don't wanna hurt the trans driving to work tomorrow with it :shifty:

The car won't start in neutral like it should and you'll have to push it very close to R or D to get it to start. You may also have issues starting it in Park and may have to lean on the shifter to get it to start. You would probably know this right away though.

Did you ever install the shift solenoid pack?

If you have a second vehicle, I would take the opportunity at this time to utilize it.

Guess it's not off then as when I drove it and then backed into my driveway all was normal as far as shifter position goes. Still seems to want to go a bit high RPM wise when it shifts 1st to second though

Took my old MLPS that I had to break to get off the trans apart at work just to see what the inner workings looked like? When I put the new one on the shifter was a lot easier and smoother believe it or not.
