Wrx eat my Mark?

I didnt know the new WRX was that high. Thought only the STi made that much. The WRX used to only be 227 hp. Those are pretty easy to knock off, more so from a roll. I never ran an STi before though with my Mark. I ran a "380 all wheel horse power buddy" STi with my 03 Cobra and just destroyed him. He had me to about 20 MPH by a good ammount but after the wheels started to bite I shot past him. Of course the Cobra wasnt exactly stock. :D
 
if your stock, he will beat you. i was able to pull on a moderatly modded WRX (making about 300whp) in my mark from a roll. but i wasn't able to pull by until i hit 3rd gear. i have bolt on's, 2800 stall and 4.10s. but the subi guy was in total shock that i beat him, lol.
 
I'm not stock. I have exhaust, shift kit, stall converter, and modified airbox. Might as well be stock. We will find out soon I wanna runem next weekend.

+1... hell, more like +100!!! I love my Mark VIII but I hate how these newer ricers are coming w/a whole lot of hp.

Where our problem is? HP to weight. Those damn cars don't weigh anything compared to ours. Whether you run from a dry start or rolling, the odds are on his side due to the lack of weight on his end!

I would love to find where I can shave 300lbs off of my Mark VIII Ah yes, Remote control Mark VIII, no driver = more power!:D

I have had both generation Lightnings, and even with full bolt-ons, the the 1gen Lightning couldn't beat a stock 1985 GT in the quarter mile, so you sir stomping STI's with a 1 gen Ligtning I call BULL PUCKY!

Saying this is no better than the kid saying he beat a SRT4 in a dirt oval track.

Stock the truck barely mustered mid 15 second quarter mile times.


The only thing a 1st gen Lightning is good for, is hauling the WRX to the track with.
 
Did some research. It's a 04, not an sti. Pipe, filter, no tune. I will destroy him. It's like 210 230 horse max.

1. Stock for Stock a Gen 1 will be a 85 GT, mod out the L and it will walk from it.
2. I never said anything about STi's
3. Stock; Gen 1 Lightnings ran anywhere from 14.8-15.5
4. My truck ran a 14.13 on street tires, full tank of gas, custom stereo,160K+ miles, and running as rich as a pig. I could have easily pulled off a 13 if I drained the tank(s) and had a halfway decent tune on it.

Don't tell me what my truck would and would not beat. Would you like a copy of my kill list?

Now, back to our originally scheduled programing...

OP: Did you ever list what YOUR mods are?
