Well finally aftter two years of waiting, and repairs, my '93 is officiallly back on the road and legal!!! I had to drive it about 55 miles without tags/insurance to the inspection facility... gritted my teeth and tapped my foot for about an hour and then got the paperwork and the OK!
Drove it about 25 miles back to the BMV/title office, got my title turned into a rebuilt title, then promptly got tags for it..... Custom plates too!!! Can't wait for them to come in.
Called from the parking lot and got it insured, taped my temp tag to the back glass and the put about another 250 miles on it today!!! Man I missed driving this car... its soooo much better w/ rebuilt suspension and functioning airride!!!!!
Should get my metal plates by Friday or next Monday.
Oh and to top it all off... I ended the day w/ a flat tire!
caught it going low at my buddy's house so we swapped it out for my spacesaver spare (that looked like it had never seen road!) And I drove home.
Tomorrow (err today) I am going to get a new tire, and get the cruise recall fixed on it!
