Ok, to keep this short I need some advice on what wires will provide the following (I know they exist, because I have searched, but only find little bits here and there). Most of what I have read is from Joegr (not much of a surprise there lol) but im installing my kenwood 7" DD w/o navigation.

Car: 2006 LS w/ Audiophile Package

Wire Colors for radio??
Delayed Turnoff for Factory Radio until door opens and the audio dim feature... but im not 100% what this means by reading below...what is the "RAP", or better yet what harness and wire color? and where should i tap the ash tray bulb to?

Okay, I guess the harness is there anyway. You have the eight speaker system, if you are asked for the conversion harness. (I would agree that it's really four component speakers, but officially it's eight for marketing purposes.)

The eight speaker connections will come from the big connector (four positive and four negative), as well as power, ground, and switched power. You won't need the eight pin connector at all.

Please note that the delayed radio turn off is a feature of the factory headunit, and you will lose that when you go aftermarket. You can get it back by running a wire from the RAP signal that goes to the windows and using that instead of the switched power signal on the big connector.
Also, dimming is a feature of the factory headunit. You'll have to tap into the ashtray bulb signal to dim the aftermarket unit.

...any and all help is much appreciated :D

RAP = retained accessory power (delayed turn-off).

There is no RAP wire to the factory radio (except for the navigation headuint). Instead, it uses info from the CAN bus to decide when to turn off.

Fortunately, there is a RAP wire in the car. It powers the windows and moon roof. It passes under the dash somewhere, but I couldn't find it there. It was very easy to find at the rear deck behind the right C pillar. The wire is gray with violet stripe there.

So you are using a harness adapter but are looking to retain RAP so you are looking for a retained accessory for the red wire on your deck?
