Winter Projects? Who's Doing What?

Winter is here. What are everyones little or major projects for there LS?

I got the itch BAD. Started looking for parts and part numbers. Figuring in budget. Mapping out a plan. Going to bubget $300 a month for parts. Till I get everything together. Hope to have it done by Easter for show season.

New wheels and tires, redoing brakes and getting a second vehicle.
 
Over the next 4-5 months

  • Refinish HID's
  • Install clear corners and possibly angels eyes
  • Intake
  • Exhaust
  • New wheels/Tires
 
unfortunately not much as my furnace died. It must be replaced as my wife runs a daycare out of our home. :(
 
Well I just got back from the shop. Did plugs and coils. Need a cat in the near future. Other than that maintenance, I love the look of the angel eyes. Not sure I have the plums or the ability to install them though.

Something simple (hopefully) I want to do is get rid of the chrome around the windows, grille, rear plate, etc. and make it black to match the car.

No winter here in Fl....;)

-Paint calipers

-eibachs FINALLY!

-Find some more Jag wheels....Im on your toes Mlara!

- New tint

-Fix air bag light (i think its one of the connectors in the actual seat)

-upper control arms

-Paint some emblems up for you LVC gents.

Im sure there are a ton more that I can't think of at the moment.
 
Well where do I start. Did the plugs and coils myself, next up is
- New 02 sensors or Cat (will know as soon as I get it to the shop)
- Tie Rod
- the airbag light
-the broken driver side mirror
- the passenger seat back
- Tint
- Headunit, subs, speakers
- Maybe wheels if I can get to them before spring
 
From now until the end of spring--
-Install exhaust - magnaflow catback
-eibachs
-06 front bumper
-Have 2nd gen grille and cdc grille color matched
-Add an led strip in trunk
-Led's in puddle lights
-Paint calipers
-Custom manoli emblems

Everything except the 06 bumper is sitting in the garage waiting to be installed
 
Headunit, door speaker amp, backup camera. Thatll all come out to about $800 I believe. Then window tint hopefully before spring. Who knows when I'll actually get around to rims lol
 
Can't do any "winter projects" in Canada, it's too friggin' cold! For 2013:
- Wire up my backup camera for automatic operation
- Refinish headlights
- Polish the car
- Sell the LS :(

Just put in a Pioneer DVD headunit last weekend and got tint finally done today. Next will be the backup camera.
 
My list of winter projects:

New custom sub box, 1.75 cu ft ported with a 10" Kicker Comp---done
In-dash 7" DVD---ordered yesterday
High output alternator from Ohio Generator---not yet ordered
Front wheel bearings---done
Front upper control arms---done
Stabilizer bar bushings---done
Inner and outer tie rod ends---done
Lower ball joints--not yet ordered
Lower control arms---not yet ordered
Aluminum Jag T-stat housing---on my bench
Custom Aluminum degas bottle---on my bench
Painting my Mille Miglia EVR 19" wheels gloss black---peeling plasti-dip off now
Repairing cracked front bumper and rear valance---not yet started
Wing West rear spoiler---not yet ordered
Tint tail light---not yet started
Tint front side marker/bumper lights---not yet started
Adding second trunk light---not yet started
Mr. Howies low beam to high beam bulb mod---done
Angel eyes---waiting for RollinLS to roll thru KC!
8.8 LSD---new axle shafts & nuts on my bench, haven't ordered diff yet
New CATs---not yet ordered (Thunderbolts are gving me a CEL randomly)
McAlax grille---if he heals up someday! Hope you're doing well Alax
 
Hunkering down and keeping warm. Waiting on the money tree to grow back. After 24 years of marriage, we finally have a bedroom set.
 
Post up a turbo videos, finally :D
Re-do heater hoses and find vaccum leak
Finish brackets for wilwood/brembo brakes
Change oil
Fix angel eye
Detail LS
Install LSD
Fix tranny
Install new cat
Modify turbo housing
 
Unfortunately driving it.....oil needs changed...drivers regulator needs changed....

BUT I am waiting for the last parts to start putting a new HU in......can't wait.
 
Oil change coming up soon.

Possibly making a deal on a McLaren here in the next week or so.

If that falls through, I'm thinking of an XCal3 with Torrie's tunes.

If you've watched the movie Inception, if I mod my car at all, it starts with someone, somewhere planting the idea when I least expect it.

Alax I have decided you never actually got a turbo.
 
Just need to take a quick video of her driving by and one inside the cabin to put it together.
