unless your being a dick, you don't have to worry about being hassled from your tint. i had darker than legal here on one of my old cars and i never got pulled over once from it, ever.

With my 20% installed everywhere except the back windshield (I couldn't do it right) I've been harassed once. I was polite and rolled down the windows and put the lights on. My coworker drives a very stock civic with 20% all around. Gets followed and pulled over EVERYWHERE. And he was a dick to the cop, so the cop slapped him with $375 in fines the first time (found faulty equip and such) and then another $110 for the next 3 days. Do not disrespect the cops, it wont get you anywhere.

When I got pulled over I was more then polite to the officer. Yes sir, no sir etc... and the first thing he says is, 'Your tints illegal and you will be removing it."

I`ve been pulled over three times for tint in three different trucks, all with 5% tint. I`ve also been pulled over for a small air freshener hanging from the rearview mirror. I was issued an obstruction of vision ticket, the car was a 96 Miata, really tall pop-up lights. It also had 5% percent, but the windows were down. It`s ironic that I don`t have to wear a helmet on a motercycle, yet if my windows are tinted I get pulled over. The last time I told the officer that when the state gives me a car I`ll leave the windows alone. I figure as long as I`m paying for it I`ll do as I please.

i just got mine tinted today, they told me the limit in TX is 30 in the front and 15 in the rear, also did the AS1 line in limo tint.

I have yet to get pulled over for tint. A lot of the new Dodge cop cars have tinted windows all around including front sides. They're tint is darker on those windows than mine. I'm hoping if I ever do get pulled over for it, its by one of those cars. I'm not removing mine till he removes his.
