That's true. When I was looking to get some 03 Cobra wheels (most come in 26mm, 9"), I was talking to Jeremi a bunch and he told me to get his to fit, he had the center flange machined (or milled) 4mm, giving him an offset of 30mm.
30mm is the offset of my front wheels and they fit really well.

When fully lowered, the driver's fender/top corner of the bumper sits on the tire, but it takes quite a bit of travel to get that to happen, so while driving should be no problem. I may still trim the bumper some day, but I think I'm fine for now.

THATS ONE HOT MARK!! Love it man, especially the rims. I think these will be the wheels on the next Gen 2 I get.

Thanks! Yeah, I love these wheels. Ever since Brad first put up a post years ago about trying to get FR500's in the Mark VIII bolt pattern (and it subsequently failing), I've wanted to get these. Sucks that I had to go to Mustang hubs to do it, but in the end, I'm glad I did it, and it gave a little bit more of an excuse to 'have' to get the Cobra brakes. :D

I have always run the 99-04 wheels, before these i had the 03 cobra's in 9" If i remember correctly the offset is 26 mm.
 
Update

Figured I would update this thread -

I am currently running 18x10 (+40mm) rear wheels with a 275/45/18 and have plenty of room to fit a larger tire. 285's or 295s with standard height suspension and good rear shocks should not bottom out or rub.

The 275/45/18 is almost the same stock height and perfect for a DD but I think 285s+ would be fine with the right offset.

Rim width is about maxed out. You could possibly get a 10.5" wheel but the clearance of the rim touching the rear lower control arm is close.

I have been running this combo on the car for about a 11 months now and am very happy with it. However, these arent the only set of wheels I'll have for the car so I still want a wider rear tire. ;)

with that said, i went last week and rolled the fenders anyway. It will not be at stock hieght always and I'd like to see some BFG or MT 305's, maybe 315's under there so as a precaution I got ahold of Doug and a big thanks goes to DLF for letting me use his Eastwood Fender Roller and his lift.

My battery was dying on my phone so these are the only pics I have as of now.

I'm very pleased with it, looks better, feels better, is better. :D

Lux I see you did a spring conversion on yours, is it lower than stock or standard height? The reason I ask is because nobody really talks about clearance issues in the front. Ive got 18s with 36mm offset and 245 45 tires and currently it has the stock air ride but I will be going to 1.25" lowering springs and it sure looks like it will interfere with the plastic inner fender in the front if I hit a dip in the road or a hard bump. Has anyone had problems with this?
 
Spring conversion is temporary.

Standard height.

I'm running 18x9 with 245/45s no issues.

I feel lf it were lowered on springs it'd bottom out and rub.

I'm running lowered springs with 245's up front and 275's in the rear. 18" staggered bullets.
No rubbing!

Of course you could, but the eastwood's a nice piece. Looks factory, no paint cracked. Im gonna massage the ends a little more before paint..but its definitely where it needed to be.

Hey so did you figure this out. I just installed HRE 18x8 and 18x10 with 255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 rear F1 Supercars. The backs are rubbing on bumps. Dont know the offset, bought em used. So now just gonna sell em, rears stick out too much anyway to be as clean as I want. What is the offset I need so I can have the clean fatness in the rear and still not rub?

I had a freind of Barrys that does body work and builds race cars roll my rear quarters by hand. He did a very good job. I'm running 17X9 Cobra-R's in the back with a 36mm offset. The tires are 11.5 X 26 X 17 M/T Street ET bia ply cheater slicks. This is the best picture I've took of the 93. I wish I'd have put the drivers window up and I wish it had the chrome Cobra-R's on in the front also.
