just browsing autotrader and rolled upon this. just wondering why and how few did they make that have this feature. think it looks bad, really bad. guess thats why its for sale. its a 2000 V6

there is quite a number of old thread on this.

This is not a factory option - in fact Lincoln issued a memo asking dealers not to do this as it was not in the direction they wanted the name to go...

But the dealers did what it took to sell them - and many of the traditional Lincoln owners were 'stepping' into a smaller town car....
 
I think it would be hot if it were actually a drop top and not just an overlay roof. I feel like the LS has a good shape for a drop top.
 
i think the LS is too long for a drop top but that's just my opinion
 
they made a LS convertible - it's called a t-bird.

and though it was heavy and underpowered - it had great styling and is still a headturner for a crusier.

IMHO - I never liked sedan convertibles - they always seems very 'girly' to me.

They are holding there value better than the LS, some people in the know say they expect the t-bird to be some what of a collector automobile, time will tell.

I can't quite go with you on this one--f'rinstance, I'd love to have one of those old '60s convertible Continentals.
