6 months ago i bought my 97 lsc, from the second i left the previous owners house in connecticut all the way back to florida i knew there was something wrong with the cobra brake conversion. not long ago i found out what it was, the holes that were drilled in the rotors to make it fit the mark VIII hubs were not drilled on center so whenever i hit the brakes it felt like the car was gonna shake apart. well, i bought new rotors for it, drilled and slotted, new evolution ceramic pads and holy :q:q:q:q why did i wait 6 months!! not only is the car death smooth now when i hit the brakes but it stops so much harder, i was never impressed with the big brakes on it, i thought the stock brakes stopped better, thats not the case anymore my god! not only that but the new rotors are zinc plated and shiny they look so much better then the painted silver ones that were on it. i painted all the calipers too while i was in there with the duplicolor ceramic caliper blue paint, i sanded the paint off the word COBRA on the front calipers once they were dry. i gotta give mad props to my buddy matt for drilling the mark pattern dead ass nuts, they are perfectly true now and man i am happy!!

looks good, I like the blue. not trying to steal your thread but did you end up getting the brake motive kit? You said you paid 165, and they were all 199 when i looked them up. Thanks Jamie

And the zinc plated stay looking nice too Jamie...except where the friction surface is, the hat won't rust...I really like mine, but I only have the standard Mark8 rotors

Nice Jamie. Those are the exact ones I have. Glad they worked out for ya. :)

i did get them from brake motive but i searched under his whole ebay listing and i found this deal, they were all 199 but on like the 3rd page of his listings i found this auction, for the 4 rotors, and front and rear evolution ceramic brake pads, it was all 168.99 buy it now with free shipping. i dont know how the dude made money the box weighed 70 lbs and he shipped for free? all i know is it fixed the car, they stop on a dime and smooth as silk. derek i put michelin pilot PS2's on the rear, the front are new falken's. i'll take some pics with my good camera not the cell phone.
