I do agree I hate rice
I have beat a srt4 in a straight line off a light in my mark just cause
a magazine says it runs 13.9 doesn't mean it runs that all the time
driver mod is a huge part of racing but if I have to race laser
I will need to switch cars to the camaro cause I would assume you
can drive
 
What qualifies as 'rice' or 'rice burner' these days?

IMO, a stock or tastefully modified Neon SRT4 doesn't qualify.

I guess the SRT is rice? lol U.S. built, U.S. owned. As stated in the thread a few months ago when I got it, its more of a corn burner.

Ive only run an SRT twice and both times it was on the highway. Both times I got excited as I pulled on them right away. Both times my jaw dropped after their turbos spooled and the punished me.

I have beat C4 Vetts .... well one anyway and lots of Stangs, Chargers, a couple Challengers R/Ts, LT1 Camaro, Civics, Integras, RSX....... but have also been whomed by a 300Z (thought was N/A cause no wing), Modded N/A GT, C5 Vetts (they kill me) and once to an old crappy looking CRX with a niss-matched body kit. :lol:
 
I raced one on the hwy... the guy couldn't drive I held even with him.... he sold the car a month later because my big old person car was as fast as his.... This was in my 93 mark which was much faster then my current 98.

I like SRT-4s tho cool cars and really fun to drive.

Stock for stock the SRT has the edge, but it sure isn't a 2 second edge.

To be fair a 93 Mark is faster, but I still had my ass handed to me at mid Michigan by a then new '04.
 
Oh please. This reminds me of the time an SRT4 tried to pass me to get around and onto the highway (instead of being an adult and waiting a half a second to go behind me), UP a hill, and couldn't pass my V6 Ford Explorer. Either he bought badges for his little crapbox Neon, or, as is my guess by his attitude, (the story doesn't end there,) he either couldn't drive or the car is plain junk. Anyways, that was my impression of an SRT4! ;)

Ha! I would hope you could! Though for a heavy truck you'd be surprised; it could get itself moving quick enough. But frankly it's idiots like you that make the highways dangerous. He had no right to attempt to cut me off, and neither would you.

Heh...I won't brag about the truck, as obviously "speed" is nothing to brag about with that in the first place. But trust me that with 210/240 hp/tq, a 5-speed auto, 3.73 gears, and curb weight just 300 lbs over a Mark, it wasn't a dog. There was a little space to get around, but not safely. Also I was not getting on the highway, just proceeding up over it. Some peoples' sense of entitlement annoys me, though. He may have had space, he just didn't have the speed to get past in time. Tough luck. ;)
 
it did say onto the highway in your first post and I do agree with you if
he is driving and even slower car than you and you are on the gas a least
1/3 to 1/2 throttle then he had no business trying to pass
