I have 210,xxx miles on my mark. Today i find out its one great big oil leak. was looking around under it and i see that in the driver side head gasket is leaking oil, the pressure sending unit is leaking oil and the valve cover gasket is leaking on the driver side. I know it would be cheaper to just fix these problems, as i feel there is a lot of life left in this engine, but i just want to start over.
Im looking for a remanufactured engine. where would you get one? Does anyone know places that sell remaned engines with options to upgrade certain parts? such a crank and conecting rods?
 
i have one from a 98 lsc with 73k on it i will be selling as soon as i pull it out. its mint.

Because re-manufactured engines have a reputation for being 'hack jobs' - you won't know what has / hasn't been done correctly etc. They're also expensive when compared with good, used OEM engines.
 
What is the name of that one company that sells the badass reman modular engines, I think monster mark or maybie even Jamie showed me a link one time. I think monster.
 
Yes that is it and I want the blue valve covered 6 pack dohc. Fwicked Shat man.

...i didnt look at it that way...well that makes sense. I saw some low mile engines on car-part.com a while back ill check that that site out again.
 
you can still get the ford reman with a 3year 100,000 mile warrenty on it for $3600.00-$4200.00 plus the $1000.00 for the core
