I have thought about it long and hard, and finally decided that before I do sway bars I need to chip this thing. I decided the mark is a go fast car, not be quick in the turns just yet, its not a mustang. So I decided the best first mod, in my opinion would be to chip it as a foundation for the other mods. Sooo, other than LMS, who would be the best vendor to get a chip from? I tried a few months ago to get an LMS chip, but they are no longer able to burn chips for my tear tag code on my PCM. I was thinking reinhart, but I figured I'd ask before I spend 300sumthing dollars on it.

i was just about to ask the same Question. i have read boc is a good one. but i would like to read some more first hand experiences. before i spend my dough

your car is a first gen as well? mine is a 93. best factory tune.

Reinhart's website has issues, atleast for me. I wasn't able to see everything.

Has anyone had any experiece with Tweecer Chips and software on their Marks? some guy was telling me how much better and more adjustable they were than SCT. I dont know much about either one, so i dont have an opinion on either, but possibly, its another product to choose from...

that is wrong..
the tweecer is not MORE adjustable than sct.
it does datalog and eec 4 car which sct does not...but the sct software is lightyears ahead of tweecer.

if you have and eec 4 car, tweecer might be ok for you
but TRUST me when i say that tweecer or moates quarterhorse are not for novice tuners.
you will not get the support you need.

I'd suggest lonnie at blue oval chips

I am happy with the tune and service I got from Lonnie @ BOC as well.

If you are planning other performance mods in the near future you might want to think about the need to make changes in the tune for them. Might be better to wait or just realize you might have to or will want to have the chip reflashed to take full advantage of the mods.

I think Geno just said he has no more blanks? And he didnt have any that already were for my code, i'm gonna go see if I can grab it now for reference.

I just got an sct chip, the multiple something or another, it has a dial 1-7, my question is how do you get the tune put onto the chip, on the sct website it says that they have banks, i have absolutely no clue as to of anything about chips

in order for YOU to put the tunes on the chip you would need:
sct pro racer software:329.00
Sct chip burner:450.00

or send the chip TO an sct dealer

ok, i would most likely send it to a dealer, but what would they really do? do they need to know specs of the car, like size injector, maf, headers or not? i really have no clue, or could i send it to someone on here who has all the software?

those are all questions for your chosen sct dealer, not for messageboard magpies.

i have all the hardware AND software and (no offense) you couldn't PAY me enough money to mess with tuning someone elses car, nothing against you, that wasnt directed at you personally...its just "what it is".

too much trouble dealing with internet experts

Hey anyone that has gotten a Reinhart chip, what shipping service did he use? I am just curious because I ordered the chip last monday, and he said I should have it before the end of last week. I emailed him friday, but no reply...

I dont know if I should call him and bug him. Just dont know his style. Maybe this is normal.

I was less than impressed with the DR tune he gave me with my PRP.... but what can ya do...

I would be asking the question what dealer should I buy my PRP from so I can do it myself...

Tiff got one many years ago, didn't remember any delays, or issues.
She was quite happy with her tune from DR, which is a striking difference from Brandons experience, with many delays, unkept promises ect.

I'd give Dennis a call if you havent received your product in the time frame you expected.
