Hey delete this if its a bad idea but I think it would be cool for us to have a thread like this.

Anyone could post a pic or description of an item they are selling or buying to determine a fair price?
I know I need it I don't know what Mark parts are worth beside checking Auction sites and those are usually way outta line.

I'll even start....
95 Mark VIII in good working condition what is a fair selling price for these items...

Air cleaner housing
Driver's side mirror
Air suspension controller module
and Ivory seats in worn condition with no rips, without electric tracks.
 
Prices all depend on what the item is worth to the buyer.

Jamie would have the best or Thomas A would have the best idea on the going prices.

Personally I have my own opinion on parts ... as I like to help out the membership as best I can by making the price of items I have affordable to the buyer, and not looking to make money on the deals.

People have given me some awsome deals ... on here and I just try to Pay it Forward.

But that's my opinion and practice others will have a less liberal practice ...
 
IMHO

seats $40 each
Mirror $40
Air cleaner housing $15
Air ride control module $0

This is just my opinion. if you were to throw those items on ebay thats about what you could expect to get for them.
 
I have someone (non member) asking about the control module, thats why I ask.
Thanks for the other prices. I'll try to make money from e-bay like the rest of the world, but when it comes to LVC members I'll do my best to take care of you, and if I'm too high let me know and I'll fix it.
 
how about my mark? 1993 lincoln mark viii, greenish/blue colour(dont know exact), mint grey interior, mint on the outside. 93,000 miles. completely stock. 3rd owner, sunroof, jbl sound system. near mint 16 spoke rims.. look in my gallery for picture

You might pull $2800 if your patient. aim for places where people have money, skip the park and sell places, those are like taking a car from the dump sometimes.
 
Whats a hood in great condition going for these days? Again its a non member.
How do you ship this, UPS? and is it real pricey?
 
Shipping would be crazy.
It would be a PITA to get ready to ship
I would say $100-$150.

I have a black one gen 1 I would like to dump.

Not only where people have the $$$$ but where MARK VIII's are extremely rare. MIAMI, FLORIDA HAS NO MARK VIII's AT ALL!!! I've been on this guy's @ss that lives in my neighborhood, he has a 96 Mark VIII that's sitting on flat tires, bad suspension, bad interior but great engine & transmission. That man won't budge from $1,000. He knows his Mark VIII is worth that much here. I got my own Mark VIII with no exhaust, horrible interior, missing parts & a bad suspension for $1,600. Up North, it was probaly worth $1k. South Florida is a great place to sell a Mark VIII.
 
Ivory interior door panel in good condition? Non member, unless someone here needs it.
 
97 lsc. mint tan int. new blend door acuator.heated seats, moonroof, 19" wheels,tuned, no muffs but with all cats, working cup holder. hids and neon work. no rust, only a few minor dings. 130,000k

Color looks same as mine. Probably Nordic blue exterior (DF) and Opal grey interior. (A6) Look at the tag on your driver's door jamb to confirm.
 
parts for these cars have dropped in value like you wouldnt believe, put it this way, for a good example. 2 years ago, i could have picked up say a 97 or 98 lsc with everything working and in good shape, say a grand, i could part it out to a bare shell and make about6 grand total. now today i can buy a 97 or 98 mark for 800 to a grand, with just about everything working, and be lucky, very lucky to make 2 grand back, thats getting the money back for buying it plus about a grand profit, its sad now. and i havent bought a 1st gen to part out in over a year, there is almost no money in a first gen, unless you get that certain color combo that a few people all need parts from, then you might do ok, but for the most part, its dieing off. i have 26 hoods in all different colors for both gen 1 and 2, even if you gave the hood away for free, shipping it is a joke, you have to ship it truck freight, ups wont take it because of the size. when i actually did sell hoods, i built a crate for them and shipped them through old dominion, southeastern freightlines, or fex-ex freight in tampa. just the wood along is a 50 dollar bill!
 
Yeah prices have dropped bad....I was getting parts off of a wrecked Mark 8 over the last 2 weeks when i had the cash, he got tired of parting it out for next nothing and is sending to the scrap yard. He would rather get pennys on the pound than let me pull the complete doors, glass, trunk and rebuilt trans and let me buy them over the next month. I got the Flowmasters, keyless remote and vcrm for 30.00, he ruined most of what was left when he filled it with scrap metal.
 
I got osmeone interested in these parts off my parts Mark. I dont want to ask too much and rip him off.

Ya I know there will be more parts needed but if I can get it for $300 its an okay deal right? Or not?
