Everyone know why LvC is a great place #1 that's why we all keep hanging around here..

But On August 9th LvC and Joey should the benefits of the 3000+ membership..

I look at LvC as a family of Lincoln and Cadillac enthusiast and I mean family...

On August 9th I was suppose to take my daughter to Chicago to catch a flight to Seattle Washington... Flight was to leave at 6:50....

When I booked the flight I assumed (yes I know and ass between u and me) I was booking a flight from O’Hare as I really didn't know of Midway...(ok small town hick here). We got delayed on the 3 hour trip from Boscobel to Chicago. Oh why did we leave from Chicago? My daughter had a friend who came to visit from Seattle WA and her flight came to O’Hare and the return ticket was from O'hare also or at least we assumed so.. Therefore we booked our daughters flight from Chicago also..

Well as we were rushing to get checked in the attendant told us that our flight was out of Midway... (Damn Orbits.. Friends flight landed at O'hare return from Midway, My daughters return flight is at O’Hare why mix up the airports Orbits).

Anyway the attendant informs us that we are at the wrong airport, and that Midway was only a 1/2 hr away..

Mind you it is 5:00 PM Rush Hour 1/2 hr to Midway no way!

So my wife frustrated that she didn't read the info more thoroughly... I thought of the LvC network... I quickly called Joey and first asked can I get to Midway in a 1/2 hour... As simple laugh and No Way...

So Joey tells me stay in O’Hare and see if you can catch any other flights..

So while we worked on that end... I had Joey searching the net for other flights...

Very helpful...very comforting for my wife....

Well to make this long story a little shorter... We managed to get them on a later flight with no extra charge... And that's another story in itself... 15th on the stand by list first called to board..

Anyway my thanks to Joey and LvC...

Knowing that I have friends in places where I can call if I am out and about in the US... I have phone numbers from Chicago to Philly... All members of LvC and all friends... I know that if I am stranded or have questions while about I have people to call for support...

LvC is one hell of a network.... Thanks to all of you the Members of LvC for making this place what it is..

Can't wait to meet more of you this coming weekend.. Back to Chicago on the 12th...

Ok so I need to pay attention to details - i.e. the difference between Midway and O'Hare. LOL...

What I am find is so great is the quality of people that this site attracts..

Guys like Ray, John Dancy, Barry, Dave, yourself oh and even Bryan...plus the countless others who because of their quality of person make this site what I feel the #1 place to be on the net... Yes Pepperman even better than your favorite anatomy research sites LOL...

I have to agree. I am a newbie, but was made to feel right at home from the start. It is great to find a forum like this where everyone really gets along with one another and shares the same passion in automobiles. I now can't let a day go by without logging in to see what's new. Thanks to all of you for making me feel so welcome.

Wow 4,000 members unbeeivableeeee I also am proud to be a member. :I You are great people.
Good story rich!! :yourock:

The funniest part of it - and anyone familiar with Chicago will totally appreciate this - Rich calls me and tells me he is at Ohare and has to get to Midway Airport for a flight in a little over an hour -- this is nearly impossible in good traffic, especially considering they usually want you at the airport at least 30 minutes before a flight departs, but this is 6:00pm - RUSH HOUR!

I almost fell off my chair in laughter.

Joey I know what your talking about I use to drive a tanker through Chicago and I have delivered Aviation fuel to O'hara and Midway. :slam :slam

When the guy at the counter said you can make it I thought where are you from.. Even I from Rural Wisconsin know you are not going to get through Chicago quick....

When my wife was trying to hurry us and I turned and started to go back to a different counter... I told her no way!!! We can't get through let's listen to Joey's advice...

Now for the funny part... The flight at Midway was delayed for 2 hours... We would have made it LOL.. Also my daughter got on a non-stop flight left 1/2 hour earlier than her original flight... No extra charge.

eh - not necessarily at rush hour. I took Dave to ohare airport from his house early on a sundy, THAT was almost an our cause of traffic. Midway is more than twice as far away.

Same here - you guys are great. When I bought my boy down in Tampa and drove him up to OH, Rich was telling me all the members on the way back to OH in case something went wrong - talk about a comfort!!!!!!! I can not express how much that ment, I enjoyed the ride up 10x's more than I would have, just knowing there were people I could contact that would be close and even more importantly KNOW HOW TO HELP not just tow me!

Then on the 4th of July, I decided to pop the hood and clean him down, well I'll be danged if the silly hood would not close when I was done. I was at a total loss at what to do it was the 4th of July! So I thought, I'll give LVC a try. I logged in posted a thread describing what was up. Get this, within 5 mins ther was a reply post! It was Jibit, asking questions to identify the latch type, after about 1 hour and some digitial pics emailed, he had me on the road again (all I had was a hammer and a screw!).

I am sure I will have several more stories like this and I think we should have a Proud to be a Member of LVC forum to post them to, what cha all think? Or do we already, if so let me know.

And a big thanks to RIch and Jibit, and Joey for putting up with me trying to become a member, uhhh and well just for puttin up with me in general also :)

Big Love For All You Guys!

Heh.........

I got a call from my buddy who was in Jamaica on his honeymoon saying he needed me to pick him and his wife up that night at O'Hare. It's 4 hours away, and I still had alot of stuff to do before I left. SO I rushed and got the ish done, and took of FLYING as fast as my little 93 4cylinder grand am would go.

Got to chicago in time, but ended up getting turned around and ended up at midway. He calls asking me where the hell I am, "Midway" I tell him. "You moron, im at O'hare!!!!". So I jump back in the car, and take off down the interstate. Mind you this was at 11:00 at night, the roads were clear, and traffic was FLYING. I was driving that car for all it was worth and people were still going around me. All in all it was a fun trip, but O'Hare ended up stiffing me for the parking lot fee. I paid to park in the closest lot, and as I got ready to park.....I saw my buddy. I went to the exit, and asked the lady if I could get my money back as i had'nt parked......the ho told me no as it was policy.
