What Coils To Buy??

Well, I guess if you a ninny and only drove it to church on Sundays, you'd only have to change the oil on it every other year as well. But, for the majority of people who drive the car on a daily basis and have had to suffer with the coils going bad, changing them to the same crappola coils only delays the inevitable... changing them again. So yes, you'll probably be fine with your second set of coils.

And yes, it is the coils and not how the car is driven. Mustangs, Expeditions, even the Taurus I owned, all had crappy coils and everywhere people congregate on the internet, coils are a common complaint amongst all Ford vehciles equipped with them. I'm sure, following your philosophy, that the faulty valve cover gaskets on the LS are to be blamed on how a person drives the car.

first of all b*** i didnt say that was the case,, i said is it the case that the design of the engine and the way u drive will make u change ur coils sooner.

see i dont know,, im not a ford mechanic,, niether r u,, but u can run ur lip on what u ahve heard,, but u dont know the cause either,,lol

has nuttin to do with being a ninny,, but its not a race car their chief,,, so u drive it like oen alll the time, that hell yes ur coils will need replacing,, so who is the dumb a** ur coils, or u for driving like ur Mario...lol

but hey keep racing around and keep changin ur coils,, and sit up here and whine about it,, but hey ur cool cause u gots a fast car ,,lol

Well, the language is English, try typing like you have some proficiency in it and maybe someone might take you seriously... beeeeooooootch!!!

No, I'm not a Ford mechanic, and it's not what I heard, it's what I've experienced which is more than you can say.

No one said anything about racing their cars... this is a common occurance in a majority of LS's, whether they are daily drivers, garage queens (like yours), or cars that are beat. How you drive will not have any effect on whether a coil will misfire or not.

Besides, I'm not whining... I'm just saying that you can buy cheap replacement parts for your car and they will break again. And no, I have no Ego, only Id (go look it up), and my car is certainly not fast.

So buy your $30 coils if you want... no one's stopping you. Just understand that JES_LS is trying to do something for the betterment of the LS community and try not to pi$$ in his Cheerios. BTW... next time, break the prozac's in half and have a nice day!

so sunshine ur tellin me that how u drive ur car has no effect on the coils goin bad? or gaskets goin bad? or anythin on ur LS goin bad?

so joe blow hard, like u, that thinks he's a race car driver and joe blow that drives it nice n easy, ur tellin me you both will have the same effect on the car?

lol your a damn putse if you think how you drive your car has no effect on it.

explain to me how some people here have their coils changed at 30,000 miles and others have no issues till maybe 80,000??

if the coils are alll bad like u say, and driving has nooooo effect on them, then why do they go bad at such different times,, and some people here have never had a coil issue.. explain that CHIEF ENGINEER..lol

but hey its silly to talk here, come visit me in New Bedford, we can talk better in person.

South First St. apartment 15,, i am home after 5pm. Mon thru Fri

Have a great day chief

I thought you were at 33 Frank Street, Acushnet.

By the way, is your car registered to your mom? Baaaaaawwwwwwwww ha ha ha ha... it is your mom's car!!!! Tell Maria I said "Hi". BTW, time to get that thing reinspected for her... I guess it failed inspection in July :)

wow, taking advantage of your police equipment, im sure your precinct will love to see your using it for your own entertainment

Uhhh, who said anything about that... a whois search of his domain name is registered a different address. My guess is that it's his mommy's house... the rest is pure speculation seing that he's 31 and lives with mom.

In his last post, he asked for me to come out and "talk to him in person" with an underlying tone that he wanted to engage in a physical confrontation with me... as in threatening to commit a crime, to wit assault. Maybe that IS a legitimate enough reason.

Whoa folks I think we're reading into things a little to far. I'm not taking sides, but I to would rather argue in person instead of over the net. I don't think anyone was threatening anybody. But I also say that HD coils will last longer even if driving conditions do effect dependablity (I still say stock ones suck no matter what condition they are used in). So go vote people so we can get some new coils or don't vote and keep replacing OEMs. To the guy who started this thread: If you search someone here mentioned GMS coils in another thread. You could take one for the team and try them. :D

lol first,, let me clear somethin up chief,, i dont give a flying f** if ur a cop, or cop friends, trust me.

second there are maybe 100 different john aguiars in new bedford,,lol

as far as threatening u?m,,c0ome on now, ur jumoin the gun just like u did when i first posted,, u got tuff and iggnorant, when i was ASKIN A QUESTION,, i know it was hard to see that since there was a QUESTION MARK at the end of the sentence.

coming from jo proper english i would think you would of picked up on that..lol

now the bodily harm i threatened u with,,lol u r a damn putse.

i told u to come talk in person since online things get takin the wrong way,, and it seesm liek u have a lil issue and a lil anger deep down,, hmm maybe cause all u cops are coke heads,,lolol

but its ok,, i still luv u chief :p mwahh theres ur kiss with a lil tongue princess

Good Luck With Ur Ls, Chief

Mr. Holhut, i'd think being a Sergeant you'd know better than to post personal info like that, especially if its using your position to obtain such info.

i completely agree with that. Don't think he would like me to post his address and job location and other info i have on him on a forum.

Considering ur like 20yrs older than me, u should maybe think a lil before u post,, trash talking,, or disagreement online is one thing,, taking to post info, that may or may not be true,, isnt cool.

God i would hate for u to get suspended for somethin sooo stupid,, or a negative report in ur sleave,, bye bye pension.

Harassment is such a ugly thing to come from a Law Enforcment Sargent.

But like i said,, i will move on since i am here for info,, not to talk s***

Can not get in trouble for posting PUBLIC RECORD. <--- I can find out things about people, if I have there name ... and am no way connect to the law.

Honestly from all the reading, after you intial OPINION, you started to bash the original poster. If he wants to try to get HD coils built, then so be it. Really there is no sense in stating you point valid or not, over and over again.

If you dont want them... dont buy them.

Just so you know, from my experince doesnt matter how you drive you car, they are just cheap part and fail after awhile. I honesltly believe its has to do more with heat than anything else, since those of us who own V8 SHO's tend to see coil failure in the back bank under the surge tank, way before the ones up on the front bank.

"So how well did U READ the post before making ur comment??"

You are correct, a persons name is public info, especially if they advertise a website with their posts. I was hinting at the comments regarding the guys address's, car registration, mom's name, failed inspection. I dont care to get involved but that is info that isnt readily available to the average person at such a quick timeframe. Even if by chance it was obtained acting as a "citizen", still not very polite for a LEO. To JPsBored....even though you tried to block out your plate in your pics, a person can still make out your plate # if they are familiar with Mass. plates. Just a thought.

But still that is assumption, based a person job. I serouis doubt that person would jeopodize a job, for disagreement of opinions online.

It is my opinion if you baby a car they dont last as long. I am hard on my other car and I have about 180k on the clock with original tranny<-- of course now that I said that it will probally fail now.

I must admit it made for some entertaining reading.... even if I can not read the post correctly as pointed out above.

yea i doubt he got all the info from my plate,, and i doubt he did all this detective work thats needed in 5 min as a "civilian" regardless i have info on him,, but not cool to post it.

and the dude is like 45,, and a sargent,, so come on now,, think think think

dont worry bout not reading post right,, most of the posts intertwine anyway,,lol

but hey glad u enjoyed the posts,, i'll be here all week,,lmaooo

Hey gang,
Mac's right, the heat is what kills coils. Well that and Ford's distinct inablity to build descent COP coils in the first productions.

This it the first COP ford I have owned, but when I mentioned the issues to my friends who have several fords with COP ignition systems they all said the same thing. "OEM COILS suck" (or something equivalent).
That was I started trying to get people to vote on the other thread so that we could maybe convince GMS or another aftermarket company to make HD coils.
If John doesn't want to help fine.
If John doesn't seem to be able to type in whole words and acts like this is some text message based forum then fine.

I just find it really incredible that someone that is supposedly this smart marketing individual, could be this immensly stupid when considering parts for his own car.

Hey John, what are you gonna do if these coils you just got turn out to be some of the really bad ones that only last 15,000 miles?????

YOMV, but badly designed parts are badly designed parts.

Here we go again,, listen when you buy a part you have no guarantee it will last forever,, so yes i may buy the crap coils and last 15,000 orrr i may get some that last 80,000

I told u numerous times i hope u get the better coils made,, but in reality it wont happen for a long time if ever cause u need sooooooooooo much more names to vote.

So i am in need of coils now,, so tell me JES, should i sit here and let my car run like :q:q:q:q for the next 2 mnths - 8 mnths - 2yrs waiting on u getting new coils made??

YEA THAT MAKES ALOT OF SENCE

I am need of coils NOW,, not later, so when in need I have to go with whats available, it sucks yes,, but thats life.

Sh** even if u get coils made,, how u know they will be workin perfect? it will be a new product never before made for the LS,, so there is chance it wont work perfect the first time around.

Again i wish u GOOOD LUCK my man,, but please relax ur lip allready just cause i choose not to vote,, its gettin silly.

hey I never said that you should wait to get your LS fixed.

All I keep saying is that your not voting is stupid. You keep saying, 'I want to buy the best', but you don't vote to try and get the best produced.

Your probably right that it will take a lot more votes than are in the poll right now, but I note that you couldn't bother either.

So if everyone is just like you then its no wonder no companies want to develop parts for the LS.

I don't care what political party you belong to if everyone didn't vote like you we wouldn't have a president/congress or any other government.

Gee I guess the two minutes it would take for you to vote is too much.

and as for lip, at the very least I can bother to type out whole words and sentences instead of acting like this is cell phone text message.

Get serious.
