went to the local cruise night tonight, few pics i took

i havent been to the car show down the street from my house in over a year, i took my 97 once when i got it, this is a friday night show all year round at checkers, its 2 minutes from my house so i cleaned the car after work and took it over, here are some pics.

this 69 chevelle had a 502 in it, pretty sick car

and this was a 70 ss right next to it

i thought this was a very clean and slick 70 mustang, it had a fuel injected 5 liter in it, the motor looked factory man so clean

i have a camera ass licker but my wife has selective reading skills, my text said Bring the paper i printed out with the cars stats on it AND THE CAMERA and she forgot both. so look at the cell pics and like it.

Did the Mark VIII generate any attention or questions? Even though they seem abundant here in Florida, they aren't quite as common as those of us who look for them tend to think. The Mark VIII is a pretty car so it must have drawn some attention, even next to some of those classics.

it was funny when i pulled up, this couple came over as soon as i opened the hood and walked away, i watched them check it out, i am saying early 70's they were, and they walked around my car looking at every inch for no joke 10 minutes, i didnt hear anything they said to each other, but it was a long time to walk around one car! a few of the younger mustang guys were looking it over, and just your normal crowd looked at it, in person it really is a car that draws attention, because no one near me has anything that even remotely looks like mine, no other marks so when people see it, they have to stare and wonder what it is! i didnt talk to anyone about it, because i walked around with my wife and kids and i wasnt near the car the whole time. i'm gonna try to make more of the local cruise nights but its hard for me to do. there is a nice one tonight near the citrus park mall every saturday at dairy queen that is a kick ass cruise night, but we are having a cook out at my parents tonight so no go!!
