i have an aftermarket headunit, 2 10 inch subs in the trunk, and new speakers in all the doors. i still haven't done anything to the car i couldn't put back to stock with a little bit of work. (except i broke one of the old speakers.. oops.)

granted it won't stay that way, i'm rewiring it the summer hopefully. stock amp is pretty limiting.

and frogman, please remove that comment. or edit it...

thank you.

less than likely..

tell your father that something as simple as a radio is TEMPORARY. very easy to switch back to the stock unit. almost all factory radios are inferior when compared to even lower end aftermarket options.
now if you payed for the car and everything going on with the car, how is he going to sell it, with your name on the title?

for the record, the cassette adapter is your best option. you arent going to be able to add a stereo jack or usb input to the factory radio if thats what you had in mind. good luck getting frogman to edit his post

Radio install is very painless and can be easily reversed(just buy the correct adapters and wiring kits)... If the tape deck is broken Ive used before one of the FM transmitters and they work good not the best but they do work. I got mine at Rat Shack(Radio Shack) for like 20 bucks.

First off, how old are you? I don't mean that as a put-down, but just curious. If you're over 18, you can tell daddy to go copulate with himself.

If you're under 18, then perhaps you should listen to what your daddy says, idiot or no.

and frogman, please remove that comment. or edit it...

Sorry, I don't remove my "comments" (actually, they're called "posts", but... eh... we'll go with "comment" for now), unless directed to do so by an Admin. But since I don't write any "comments" that would warrant such interventions, I do no no remove any of my posts.

The only time I edit my posts is when I realize that I was suffering from a severe case of rectal cranial immersion while I was writing the post and misspelled something or the point I was making didn't come across as clear to me as I'd have liked it to. Then, I go back and clarify it.

Other than that... as Chris, "less than likely" and Remark "Good luck getting frogman to edit his post" said, the chances of me doing that are slim. In other words... NO.

haha, well thanks for commenting back. and as such im only a few months away from being 18. but that being said. i think ill just say :q:q:q:q it. and put in a radio...

well now the tables of turned..... (weird thing to say)

what is one of the better radios that fit in the Mk? and what all do i need. again sorry, but im very new to radios.

oh, and my dad is in his mid 60's.....

i know u just said ur getting a new radio but if you want to stick with the factory one and play ur ipod get a scoche fmmod02..About 30 bucks on ebay..Power and ground is all you need and takes about 5-10 min to install.

Look for a factory radio with the rear trunk CD loader...I agree with your father do not alter the interior of the car in the long run it will cause you to lose value. On the other hand performance mods are allowable if not desireable...also try to keep the car as stock looking as possible. My humble opinion...your Father has your best interest at heart anyone else including Frogman when push comes to shove will not be there like your Father would...your Father is not an idiot, if he is what does that make you?

haha, ill be the first to admit. i like things done my way. and im impatient... and im only 17... im the only teenager that dosnt think he knows it all...

back to the single din, ok 94,93.

but i do need a din mount. also what is the PWR/SPK harness for?

what do you mean by get a double din.

you mean get a radio that is a double din style? like a touch screen?
