This weekend I took on the fun task of digging into the front suspension, I knew it was getting bad! The boots were split open, clunky ball joint, front strut bushings worn, and I could see rubber missing from the UCA bushings.
Everything went really well, the ABS sensors were frozen into the spindels. I don't think they had ever been removed.. traced the wire around the frame and just unpluged them (Thanks KK for the advice) I'm sure I would have broken one trying to get it out. UCA's would have been much easier if I would have had a 18mm racheting wrench, otherwise the 1/4 turn wrench flip method gets old quick!
Front strut rod bushing were short work for a #5 unibit and 18v dewalt!
Sway bar bushings were a breeze with a swivel head snap on 1/4 drive ratchet!
I also replaced the Orings on the solenoid.. good news is, NO leaks :D
Still waiting on my rear bushings to show up.. that should be a treat!
Here is the carnage...

Just did that a few weekends ago too. Its not nearly as bad as others have made it out to be. Taking my time and taking many breaks and I still had it done in under 6 hours. If I would have been in a hurry and didnt stop I could have had it done in under 3 hours.

I had one bolt in the LCA/air strut that was frozen in the bushing that I cut out, other than that it was pretty straight forward.
It does look mean pancaked out with no air in the bags..
I have the cobra brake set up, just waiting on my rear bushings so I can throw the wheels on and get it aligned.
JMod is next.. and exhaust... and sensor lowering... and cobra intake sitting in a box in the garage with a drive shaft.. and Xcal 2 ... and 3:73 trac-loc rear end... the list goes on

Fun Fun Fun.

Brandon is the man.
When are you doing the rear?

Sounds like a get together, we can do the one wheel method get er done in no time flat.

Your intake might vanish though ;)

I can see a rays switch in my future as well!
Damn the list get long quick!
