Venom Hood!!!

Meh.. Lots of work, I agree, but just not feeling it.

Now maybe, a raised center with back facing heat extractor ducts would be more my liking.

I love what you did man. I wouldn't do it to my car simply because I've never been a fan of the hood but it looks awesome. I've always thought that the venom hood was someone's idea of turning the Cobra R hood around. They look like the vents in the back of many Cobra R aftermarket hoods.

Dude, it's on backwards!

Just kidding... I mean it is on backwards but I think you wanted that way correct?

I made this one by hand... first time playing with fiberglass.

lol, thats the only thing i could think of that would've justified that location.

nice work you did there.

I think if you blacked out the yellow on the hood right in front of the scoop and the top of the header panel it would pull off the look your going for. You could always bring the stripe into the grille but i'd keep the grille black and black out what i suggested.

Black out the yellow stripe above the grille on the header panel and the corresponding piece where you continued the stripe onto the the hood off the front of the air holes/cowl.

It would make the work you did more profound and outlined making the hood stand out and at the same time would keep the grille from breaking up the stripe.

i like that idea, stripe the grill and not the nostrils

i think its a good looking hood. but just dosnt fit that car.

Btw, the wheels and mud flaps arnt helping. :D

Very interesting Alternator mounting. Any more pics of that set up?

I had to figure out a custom Alt setup since (as we know) the K-member clearance sucks balls on this platform.

had to "adjust" the T-stat housing.

I do things differently like this OP with his backwards scoop... the funny thing is...

I learn by trying stupid stuff first then whittle it down to semi-stupid and then after a while it turns out pretty dang cool.

I think it looks freakin awesome! Want to see the better pics of it, great work!

Looks like it's on wrong (backwards) totally clashes with any and all of the factory Mark VIII lines imho. Workmanship is good though.
