Ok... So I have my 97 Lsc and am starting to mod it up, but i dont want to just throw parts on it and not get the full benefit, sooo my question is, do you guys know any one or company that gives free tunes for life with purchase of a tuner? any help would be great. so far got cold air intake, exaust and about to put 30 lb injectors, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and maybe a 100 shot. later this year the supercharger setup will be fully put together. once again, any thoughts or parts for sale would be awesome.

Nobody give free tunes for life... unless you buy the software and do it yourself... which I would highly suggest.

SCT makes the best stuff imo... and if you shop around you should be able to get a cheap xcalII...

Dammitt....I thought you gave free tunes for life.

Why 30# injectors? I can see the AFPR if you actually plan on supercharging it, but 30#ers are too big for N/A and pretty much too small for blown..

Shut up you! What do you know!?

Man's got a point, though. The 30#'s are good if you plan to keep boost at a manageable... 2? 3? psi... if that.

On a different note, something tells me this n00b's going to be one of those "Problem Posters". He'll post questions when he has a problem. Time will tell.

Sorry frog, your wrong about this one.

He is a "Dream Poster" Who is going to dump 10k plus into a Lincoln and want free tunes?

What happened to the good old days when someone would join and we all put a bunch of :W to :V ? He's working on a nice project if you ask me... pictures! No need to down him. Anyways :W to :V .

What happened? Well... Sit a spell and I'll tell you, since you don't seem to come around here much. And please, don't tell me how you're here at least once a week. If that were true, you'd never have made that statement.

Now then... what happened?

Well, it's simple, really. Young kids come across as Mark VIII, they like it, and they (or, mommy and daddy), buy it.

Then, being young adults, being aware of google & co., they search for Mark VIII mods. Of course, due to Joey's (that's the guy who owns LvC) SEO skills combined with how busy LvC is (post wise), LvC pops up on the first page on google.

They click on the link. They notice how active LvC is. They get excited. They have big dreams of turning that Mark VIII into a car they can smoke their buddy's Camaro with, or of pulling 10 second quarter mile passes. This in itself is fine. We all should have aspirations.

But, then they make the big mistake of just posting questions. Why? Well, there are two reasons:

They are either too lazy, too incompetent or too damned entitled and think the world owes them answers on a silver platter.

So, they start posting about how they got this Mark VIII and all the stuff they're gonna do to it. And... they start asking questions that have been covered so many times, the regulars are sick of answering over and over. You see, they think they're the first who have thought of these things, or the first who have run into problem "xyz". Then when they are told to search )most of the time in a nice way), they get all sorts of huffy and Internet Tough or they leave. Very seldom do they hang around. After all, they have no one to cater to them, be it for whatever reason posted above.

And that, IMHO, is the ultimate reason why "we" don't out a lot of "welcome to LvC" posts in their thread. Not to mention, most of them (like this guy) don't post their first post in the "Welcome Forum". There is a reason why we have a "Welcome Wagon". Care to guess what the point of that is?

Now, to be fair, not all the n00bs that come here and just start firing off questions are kids. Some are full grown adults, and that makes it worse.

Welcome to the site!
Can't wait to see some pictures of your car.
And stay away from 30# injectors if you're going to be supercharging it. (waaay too weak to get any good amount of boost)
My advice is to wait until you have the supercharger & a tune in mind before you go nuts with all other supporting mods.

We look forward to you being a part of the community!

Actually, I visit every day(rarely weekends) between classes and during when I was in high school. I rarely post since you guys are much more knowledgeable in cars compared to me so I can't really add much. Nice try though trying to predict I'm not familiar(I know I have few posts). :D
Edit: Yes, I know who Joey is and how some websites are hated... won't name them. I know about all the drama that goes on I just don't post on it. And I love your stories about your truck, the bath and body store experience, and the midget jokes. Anyway I look forward to getting schooled by you in your reply...:shifty:

No. Sorry. You don't. Otherwise you would have known about how people are told to search here, on a daily basis nowadays instead of "welcoming" everyone, for the reasons I stated above. I also don't believe I mentioned any other "hated" websites... where you got that from, is beyond me.

Frankly, I don't care if you come here but once a year, or if you have data capable brain implants (new technology I "invented" for one of my novels). It's not about how many posts you have. I am reasonably certain I never brought up your post count. I based my deduction of your not being here regularly, on your original statement.

Either way, it's no skin off my back. But I do suggest you actually comprehend and remember what you read here (since you come here every day), before you post such nonsense.

That is all.
