Transmission Cooler Oil Flow

Does the transmission oil flow through the radiator from the top line to the bottom or vice versa. Is the out flow from the bottom or from the top? I'm installing a transmission cooler.

Just disconnect them and leave it that way... the fluid leaking means it's cooling

I want to take the out flow and and plumb it into the transmission cooler.

Wow, lots of conflicting information.

The following says the out flow is from the lower fitting.

And the article from tccoa.com says it's from the top.

AS DLF said in that post of his I linked, Ford switched things around, but a Mark VIII's return line is the top line.

Transmission cooler has been installed. I ended up using a barb fitting on the out flow of the radiator.
