After acquiring my new mark 8 97 lsc with only 150k putting a lot of money into a tuneup ive now started to worry about the tranny, prev owner sold it to me with pink fluid looks clean shifts and hits all gears no shutter in 4th I know they beefed up the tranny in some of the later 97 models but not sure if mine falls into those models or not, anyhow, looking for a budget transmission cooler wondering if anyone could recommend a good brand/cooling rating? Im not good with trannys and not even sure what the rating has to be for a car this size

I really think the stock cooler is more than adequate for OEM configuration.

Anything will be better than the stock heat exchanger. I'd recommend a plate style cooler over tube-and-fin. Just looking at B&M as an example, the 70268 or 70264 are both more than capable for a stock setup.

I installed the B&M 70268 Super Cooler Automatic Transmission Cooler. it was easy to install and works well for me now.
