Tranny diff?

I have a 95 and a 98LSC. Any reason why my 95 would chirp tires during WOT 1-2 shifts and the 98 doesnt. From my knowledge its stock.

I wanna J-Mod the 98. Looking to add quik'r shifts and chirp tires under WOT...

if your 95 trans chirps from 1st to second most likely the 1-2 accumulator spring is broken, keep doing it and your trans will eventually not even work!!

and that's no lie. i just threw away a 94 trans that had bad shudder but did used to chirp 2nd gear and I threw away a good 93 trans. had to clean out the garage so it can be redone.

If it's not due to a broken accumulator spring... the 95 makes more power, might be just enough to make the difference. You might have better tires on the 98. A previous owner may have J-Modded the 95 (the PO of my 93 did, without mentioning it when he sold it to me.) Plenty of possibilities.
