Ok so I've been having the hearts for the Hyundai Genesis for quite some time now.

The V8 model with technology package at 42k. Honestly i don't think it can get any better than that. My friend offerd 8-9k for my car its a 2000 with almost 82k miles clear title, car is in the most perfect condition, i treat my cars like children lol. Anywho.

The genesis V8 is a sport luxury car, honestly IMO i think its the LS's replacement just made by another company, the weight distribution is almost the same as the LS. Almost 50/50 i think its 47/50 or something like that, 375 hp rear wheel drive.

I just think its the perfect car for the money, but you guys think i should consider something else? What you guys think about this car?

Might be test driving one tomorrow, but has anyone test drive it yet ?

( your opinion doesnt reflect on my decision )

Stigma of the 'H' aside, I think they are sharp looking cars.

Just one thing to bare in mind if you ever plan to sell: It WILL depreciate like a bomb.

I thought about the resale value aswell. KBB on Youtube said they might not go down so much on the resale. idk

Can't always trust KBB...no Korean car holds it's value well....and for the price I would rather get a new Luxes IS-R or a GS-R (GS-R to be released in 2011 or 2012)

I just can NEVER see myself driving a Korean car......it's like feeling dirty.....even when you're clean....

cannot be worse than the LS, nice cars.

the car looks pretty nice to tell you the truth i seen one and it was black with tint and it looked good the interior is nice as well go for it if you can get a good deal on it

U mean the IS-F and the GS-F

Man that Audi A5 is so pretty. If I needed a car in that price range, I'd look hard at that car.

You do know the V6 on the Audis have non-linear acceleration and are actually less responsive than the 2.0T which has gained 11HP and 51TQ since the 2008 model. Though right here you can get a 2008 Audi 2.0T Prestige Package with 3k on it for 25k when a brand new 2009 2.0T premium is 37k....quite the price difference......but even so...still cheaper than the Genesis.....

And btw I Fed on saying IS-F and GS-F...I'm too used to racing versions of cars being called R-type.....them ricers and their R-types :P

For 42K, you better be looking at something else.

I know you are looking at buying a brand new sport luxury sedan but for in the 40 - 45 range you could also buy a nice low mileage 06-07 M5 or Audi S6. Both are better cars in about every category except mileage and age. But as you said, get what you want and not what everybody else wants.

I can tell ya, I drove an IS-F at SEMA this last november and it was friggen awesome! :D :D :D

If you don't know its stats, I suggest you spend a moment and look it up. lexus for the win!

Finally saw my first one on the street and just about ran into the curb. haha

I personally like them, maybe when the 2010's hit the lot you can get the 09 for cheaper.

Used M3's go for around 20k, 2002 with about 50k miles, you can't go wrong there.

My friends dad who has the M5, wants to get the same year M3 to match... soo jealous...

That's a pretty nice car, but $42gs is whole bunch of money that can buy you a very very beautiful car. If I had kids I would buy an 04-06 S600 sport for that money or less, that thing does 0-60 in less than 4.3 seconds and 1/4 mile in less than 12.5 and more than 115mph, plus you get all the comfort in the world.

Like this one but with sport package:

or this crazy one:

Where did the other 3% go? Now that is some engineering! I didn't notice any wings on the car. :D

Let me know how the test drive goes. I doubt I'll ever buy one, but I am very curious. I've got a friend who owns a Hyundai dealership and I need to know if I should stop making fun of him.

Lincoln MKS. skip the awd unless you live in the heavy snow states. tech and nav package brings it to the same price (fwd)

Speaking of which, the new lincoln mkz is up. amazing interior...they finally did it. every option brings it to 42k. that includes navi, sync, adaptive hids...all the toys. me want!

:yuck:

 @ anyone wanting this POS Genesis over his LS!

lol at anyone saying I would chose an LS over a Genesis by what I said. What I meant there Mr. Try2 B Slick was the depreciation would not be much worse as the poster above me said something about value. Nice try though. I would of gone on and said get this or that for that money but I figured everyone else would so I stayed on topic.
