Today's project....

As much as you are trying to make sense you dont have enough experience with these cars they flex a lot I have taken apart many mn12s that have broken the x brace behind the rear seat

as much as you are trying to put me down it wont work those cross braces are held on with a few tack welds and a couple 10mm bolt i beleave, hell i pulled mine out by hand just yanking on it. those are also not structual at all. and ive probably replaced more quarter panels and inner actuall structual parts of a car than you i know what can flex. and if your are getting that much flex from the fraking shock mount area you may wan to think about junking the car.

Nice work !! How does it drive now??

Hi Saturn5,

Can you tell us if you perceive differences now in driving, and what they may be?

I think you do really good mods, and I am very pleased you make it available to others.

Would you say the "pecking order" for your bracing is as follows:

1st - Front end "long" braces
2nd - Rear IRS braces
3rd - This rear shock tower brace

Hey, this is only my second post up here, .... been lurking.

Would this help prevent the dimpling effect that I'm getting in the quarter panel near the glass??

I definitely feel a difference with the front and IRS brace. The rear shock brace may by more esoteric, but I had a free afternoon and fabbed it up. I may make some changes to it this weekend so this may not be the final design.

I'd say that would be the order of install.

Sap, can you get a clean pic of the dimpling?

Okay, Rev 2. This should address any strength issues.. :)
