To MOD OR NOT TO MOD? That is the Question.

I am hard thinking of my chameleon here. No stereo [that cant be hidden under a speaker cover] , no pipes, no underhood mods. But a rayswitch and a set of 18 inch Torque thrusts [the shiny ones]. And to top it some tint.

My only problem is that my father used to keep 'em stock because it was worth it in the long run. But thse are not indefinite mods. I am leaning more towards a sensor lowering. So I can leave the dash and all alone. Any advise would be appreciated, I am torn.:(:(:(:confused::confused:
 
If it that much brain ache buy another one to mod
 
I already have the red garnett glaze to mod and go fast but. I can only see this chameleon [1 202] looking sweet like this. And not effecting value one day.
 
I originally wanted to mod the vert, but after talking to a few members I decided it was best to leave it stock. It was not an easy decision.
 
Wheels are something you can switch in an hour, with the Stereo, I wouldn't get outrageous, maybe upgrade speakers, add an Ipod adapter. It looks great stock though :D
 
Mods you should make are those that help preserve your ride ( J Mod, Tranny Cooler, Silencer Delete, Gen 1 Head light up grade, & Spider Valve Install) to name a few. Nobody will ever see them, but you will have peace of mind that you are extending the life of your ride.

These cars are not worth much anyway. For classic that is going to be worth something Dad is right. For a Lincoln Mark VIII - as much as I love them they aren't worth a lot.
 
Save the parts and you can always swap it back. That way, if you ever sell it to me :D, i can change it back. :b
 
That's why I am leaning toward sensor lowering. Becuse there is no hacking to do it. I wish there was some exact measurements on sensor placement since the rear is different then the front. Wheels would be the next thing. But the tint would look killer on this color and and and and.............. AHHHHH!!!!!!

I've thought of an easier method to sensor lower the front. Instead of taking the plate off & drilling the new hole, Take the plate off & open up the slot for the lower ball mount. This way one could just adjust the whole thing via the lower ball mount nut. This would be a great option for fine-tuning & it can be done without removing the wheels. One thing that I have noticed is that the lower ball-studs are more prone to breakage after the sensor-lowering has been done. I've went through 2 of them in the last month. But that's just from crappy roads.
 
Just leave the sensors where they are and pop in a ray switch, it doesnt butcher anything. That way you dont go too low and ruin bushing/camber/aligment. You can roll at a good looking and safe height and then drop it while parked.
Tint is a protective mod, it saves your interior and seats from heat and sun rot.
Wheels are an easy to remove and really make a car nice.
Underhood mods and pipes are what could bring down the value of these cars if not done right.
Just start modding and you'll get the bug and you'll answer all your own questions.
