To chrome, or not to chrome (Barcelonas)

Just got 2 of the wheels in (not chromed yet)

They dont look too bad as is... I may have to run home on my lunch break, set them out by the car and take some pics to look at ;)

thats fvcking sexy!

My vote right now is keep them as is! Use the money on some beastly tires, and maybe down the road if you decide you can't live without the chrome, do it. All you'll lose is the cost of tire installation, but if you do the chrome without trying out the silver first, you might be kicking your own azz later lol

Any tire suggestion... I was thinking about Hankook V12's

I have a set on right now. I like them and will probably be getting them again.

Those wheels look sooo good in silver! Sorry mlara, black is just ugly :p

That would hurt my feelings if I had spent the money to do them like that :p lol

But I bought them powdercoated black, and didn't mind the look for a while but never really liked it. I only really like black on white with some sort of lip to contrast the wheel and the tire. When the Barrcelonas go back on they won't be black trust me

Pretty much
I've read good things about the Hankooks. My next set of tires will be either those or some Contis (DW).

I had Bridgestone Potenzas on my Barcelonas and loved their responsiveness and difference they made in stopping (compared to the Toyos I'm running now) but they made the ride quality a bit harsh.

I believe the Hankook $80 rebate deal starts April 1st... Hopefully the V12's are included in that this year.

The more I look at it in the pics, I think I'll take this advice.

Start out with them silver and work on getting it dropped first ;)

It looks real good. The wheel looks great polished like that. But it's trickery.

Once mounted he won't be that low and the wheels won't be super exaggerated in offset they will be sucked in giving it a totally different depth appearance.

You have a point, i guess thats why they look so good to me, but still 9.5" rears are anything but sucked in lol mine sit almost flush with the fender.

I think its the color as well...

I was thinking about doing gunmetal or a dark silver powdercoat on my set, but Hinzy I think you might just make me go the other way lol I have 2 bright silvers (spares) maybe I'll throw them on see how I like the contrast with white

I'm not getting 9.5 rears... Can't find them anywhere in stock.
These 2 are 8's and unless I can find a pair of rears I'll just end up with 4 fronts.
Maybe I'll go 4 fronts either way to be able to rotate.

They look perfect in silver, you must get the 9.5 wheels. Get some 285/30/19 tires in the back and a good drop.
