Well, started her up, let her idle, waited for a couple of minutes, then hear this screeching loud sound, sounded like something seized up, and the motor died, well started her back up, runs pretty rough, so I just killed it. Not sure what in the hell would cause this? I am just very pissed right now....

I am guessing an accessory seized. Such as the AC clutch, etc.

After checking fluid levels of course (oil), take the belt off and see what happens then.

I had a a/c comp sieze up on a sohc 4.6 before. The clutch rattled like crazy for a month or so, went to start it up one afternoon and the thing was frozen. The car tried to turn over for .5sec but immediatly hit a brick wall. New a/c comp out the door for $700 bucks. Midas even had the nerve to charge me for the bottle of ky.

It was my dd at the time so I couldn't bs the repair, needed to get done quickly and correctly.

Pull the belt off the car and see how it sounds. Then spin all the accessories by hand and see which one it is.

Well guys, seems to be more serious then this. Apparently my car took a :q:q:q:q of oil....I blame the oil adapter. I didn't see the puddle of oil till later, and checked my oil, no oil....I feel stupid, and angry. I am pretty sure something if messed up severely, but I will add oil and turn her over and over, then crank her up and see what she does.

Yea, that screech, just punched me hard, right in the nutsack when I heard it. Expected the worse, so I am trying to be at peace with myself. Engine had no more then 1000 miles on it since rebuild. Just pissed all around, guess tomorrow I will start to take it out. My brother though, told me he would find me another engine, and trade for the one I had and make it out to a stroker. I guess that brings me some comfort, but I won't be comfortable with knowing, that the engine I get, wasn't torn down and rebuilt almost completely.

BTW... no "Low Oil Level" warning given on the message center?

This is the exact reason I got my 96 LSC so cheap. The guy started it up and went into the house for 20 minutes. The car had not been run in a year and he did not even check the oil before he started it. Well, he cam eback out and the car was not running anymore and there was a puddle of antifreeze and oil leaking out around the front left tire. $400.00 and a tow truck got the car.

Yup, pretty much the same thing happened to me, except mine wasn't run in a day lol. Hell, I think antifreeze leaked out of mine finally a day ago, big wet spot beside the oil, then again not sure. :shifty:

If it's not the oil filter housing, what else could it be? Oil housing gasket, oil filter gasket? Oil pressure sensor? Should have the engine out tomorrow, just want to make sure I check out, what the problem could be.

If motor is coming out throw walmart oil in it fire it up and see where its coming out. All those spots you mentioned can leak.
