I'm researching alot of things for when I get underway with chopping up my car. I'm keeping it, and going to redo pretty much the whole car. I don't think much will be left untouched when I'm done, and not many parts will be left stock. This is going to be a big project, turning it into a true hot rod.
What would you guys think of a wheel like this (closest I can get to the socal speed shop hot rod wheel which is only avail in 15" I believe) on a sleek ass supercharged mark viii?
Understand that the offset shown here is a little too eccentric. I can dish them however I would like front to rear. These wheels here are both 18X8 for example. My rears would still have more of a dish compared to the fronts just not to this extreme. The idea behind this is having a wheel that shouldn't outdate. Stuff out of SoCal SS usually never outdates, becomes history but, always has a place. If you don't understand this pls don't argue it. SoCal built this chevelle, actually.
Lmk what you think pls. I know they're going on alot newer car than they've prob ever been put on. Which is why I'm not sure. Might clash. And might bring disrespect to the car with this wheel on it. Like a homeless guy with a sign asking for cash on the corner while wearing a rolex. Ha Kind of a reverse-retro rod type of thought.
EDITED: another pic added, also a so cal speed shop car
These are the III's like I'm looking at
These are the II's, without rear dish
