So I had to mention a couple nights ago how my method was working great on another thread. My air ride system could'nt have taken a crap at a worst time. The compressor sounds horrible & I'm tired of the slowly deflating bags. I can't afford fixing it as many of you know I'm unemployed as of almost 3 weeks ago & now it sits slammed on the floor again. This time it may take months before I fix it. Bye, bye Mark VIII for now, you will sit in my driveway, with the rear tires stuck in the fenderwell (YES, I SAID STUCK!) until I have the cash to fix ya. I need a car cover so the sun doesnt beat it down... wait, that requires money too... Never mind! I need to put the stock wheels back on so I can drive it every couple weeks or so around the block. I can't move it on these 9 inch rims in the rear. The fender is cutting chunks off the tire just from bringing it into my driveway.

Oh man that sucks, im also have problems with my air ride i think the compressor is getting weak even though it only has 68k on it.. I had to have a friend help "lift" up the front one of us on each side to get the front up..but check this out, contact micah..he has an air suspension compressor off his parts car, not sure if its good or not but he offered it to me for a crazy low price. If you grab this one I think im going to just buy a brand new compressor instead..so if you want you can have micah's since you need it more then i do (as long as he still has it and its good)

Alex dont worry bud, today wasnt a great day for me either. Car looks great after painting but the rain just screwed up the clear coat and paint. Now I have to sand everything down again and repaint. The worst part about this is the taping and papering of the parts that I dont want to paint. Good luck with the air compressor.....mines is also messing up its not venting anymore.

Because of my recent situation, purchasing ANYTHING is out of the question. Once I'm out of this hell hole I'm in I'll be switching to coil suspension. YES, I never thought I'd say that but I have other priorities in life other than a car. As much as I love this Lincoln, it's not a priority & switching to coil suspension is not the end of the world. I'll cross this bridge when I get there. Kinda sucks but it is what it is.

My compressor seems to have crapped out too.
Fortunately, I have the Spider Valve Extreme enabling me to manually fill it up.
And I bought all new Ford Air Springs a couple years ago....

My navigator is going to get coil springs very soon.. I'm not making that mistake again... I'm not sure what I'll do about the mark though.

Sell all the working air ride stuff on the car and it should more then pay for the conversion. :)

Nope. They are all in the garage or in storage, except for one of them which is in Phoenix at this time... under a damned carport.

Ugh, I only have one and its always stuck under the carport. Damn rain lately has just made it filthy too. :(
Miss my old house and garage.

imo keep the air ride if the car is not a DD but if you only have one car you might want to convert.
My nice car still has great air ride and my DD has springs and I like the air way better

Dude, I agree with you 110% but it all comes down to my budget. Let's see what happens, there may be light at the end of the tunnel.

If youre gonna convert it you should lift it :D

Ahh yes, Nothing says 4x4 like a true (full of mud) HOTROD Lincoln!:D
