Gary (boatmangc) and Cory, are here in the ATL from the Fl Keys to attend SSHS10 to defend his SSHS9 car show best paint award for his incredible supercharged Mercury Marauder.

Gary, being the OCD paint man that he is, offered to give The Mark the spa treatment :) The pictures do not do justice to what Gary and Cory did to the car. AMAZING!!! And... These pics are without any top coat Zaino. Just bare paint! I will put 3 coats of Zaino on the car today.

You da man Gary and Cory! THANK YOU! :)

Looks great! I really need to do that to mine again but haven't been able to afford the chemicals and pads. All my chemicals got damaged last year in the temp changes and all my PC pads are shot.

Because your car is so perfect I feel the need to ask about the one thing thats always bugged me on your car. Why does the hood line up so poorly?

Very cool. It must not have been very bad to begin with if they could get away with both using PCs.
Wut? The PC was specifically designed for that work. Its the best tool for the job. You can remove water spots, deep swirls and all kinds of gunk with one.

The PC can do serious correction work with the right pad and compound... I use rotary though because pc's vibrate way too much.

It was the best tool for this job, which is what I was alluding to. It is not the best tool for paint correction, especially if it needs more than minor correction.

Now quit flexing your e-penis and let us get back to admiring the awesome finish the car is now wearing.

Don't ever talk to Kevin Brown... hahahahahah

they used both to get it done quicker most likely!! i dont have a porter cable but mine is built the same i have a meguires but i love what it can do. car looks awesome mike but does it ever not look awesome!!!

Thanks, Guys. I managed to get a couple coats of Zaino on it yesterday, and The Mark looks marvelous :)

The coolant crossover tube filler bung that is on the car now touches the hood, so that is as far down as the hood will go. The gap between the nose and hood is due to the intercooler, tubes, blow-off valves, fans, and trans cooler being all stacked up in there.

Yes. Gary had a more aggressive pad than Cory. Gary cut first, and Cory followed behind him with a finer pad. They did this a couple times around the car until they got the majority of minor scratches out of the clear coat.

There are a few deeper scratches that they knocked down a lot, but were concerned about trying to totally remove them by cutting through the clear coat, so they stepped back and put the pc down lol. :)

Ah, figured it was something due to function and not oversight. Car is just beautiful mang, keep up the great work on it. :)

Yours is the car that most inspired me to start building mine. It has a long way to go but thats cause you set a very high bench Mark. :D
