I ordered the same kit as UNITY did. It came today & I put it in right away! Very easy plug & play installation.

Here are some before, durring & after pics. They really do make a HUGE difference & I am VERY happy with them. I paid less than $90 bucks shipped on Ebay from a US seller who has 100% feedback.

There is only one thing that worries me, even though they are 35 watts, they do get very hot! I wasn't expecting this. Other than this they are AWESOME!!!

Thanks to UNITY for the origional post about them:cool:

I have a set like that for my 2006 f150 and they work just fine, if my bulbs ever go on my mark viii I will try to fit some like them in mine instead of buying one for 400 bucks.. Nice buy.. looks good..

Any before/after temp comparisons? Someone with one of those "laser" thermometers should do this.

They may burn cooler, I'm really mot sure. Ive got a laser thermometer. With the HIR bulbs the front of the lenses were around 165 degrees. This was in the warm summer air though. It's in the 40's now. Maybe I will check the temp out tomorrow. They sure do light the road, signs & the little reflective dots up good.

I just installed a set I got from a different seller on ebay, they were $77 including shipping and they look exactly the same-so easy to install, 5000 k, really nice-they are also 35 watts-if you have halogens, you need to do this, it make all the difference in the world.

They go in just like any other 9005. You plug the plug for the lamp form the main harness into the ballast. Then from the ballast you plug into the HID. Basically you are just placing a ballast between the harness and HID. Its REALLY easy. You do have to mount the ballasts though, that the hardest part if anything is.

I had the same problem others had on here, the O-ring around the base of the HID's I got was too thick to twist them into the housing-I swapped the O-rings off my worthless halogens, they twisted right in and fit nice and tight. It really is that easy, you plug your connector into the balast first, then the bulb goes into the housing. Ford should have thought of this, and for $77 delivered, it couldn't get much easier.
I am kind of sorry now I did the driving lights behind the grill, they look yellowcompared to these, but I guess they are nice to have there and I can always remove them if I want to-I just installed these HID's and havn't checked them out at night yet, but I am looking foward to doing just that tonight. $77 bucks-if I lived in California and picked them up, they would have cost $40!!!

I sell them as well, little more the $77 but the procedes go for a good cause and you cant beat my warranty.

Intensehid is their ebay name $77 bucks delivered and cake to install they are in California and they answer their phone if you have questions.

Did you jumper the high and low beams?Just wondering, I've heard its not good to flash back and forth with HIDs.

yeah make sure you do that or you'll kill those hid's fast. just remove the multi function switch and jumper pin's 13 and 15 together. then when you switch from low beam to high beam, all 4 will light up and you wont keep hot striking the hid's.

DO NOT GET INTENSEHID! Period!

Get them from here, same kit, $11.00 more but look at the feedback. Would hate for someone to get burned!

I think you can do it without removing the switch, just find the right colored wires are use a spice to connect them. I know someone did that, it was easier, but I dont recall who and the colors.

here in America, you have a choice-the HID's I got were from a co in California and I did call to ask questions, they answered the phone-their feedback is like 99.2% on about 1600 or so, the $11+ operation is 100% with over 2900-I'll figure the .8 percent with negatives either had a bad day, were not real good at installations, or maybe were ebay newbees with little feedback experience and liked to complain.
The kit I got was really nice, well packaged, cheaper on shipping, and looking at their history and track record, I'd have to say I seriously doubt you'd go wrong buying from either company. I did look at the other place's ebay store, and it looks like a ricer store that sells a bunch of carbon fiber stull and some HID's -the place I got my lights from only seems to sell lights (21 pages worth)...Period.

Will these kits make a difference at all if your headlight housings are yellow?

Ummm, I shall quote myself:

QUOTE / "MY" seller, the one I used, has only ONE negative feedback in 12 months!

In 12 months, "MY" seller has 2251 POSITIVE feedbacks. "ROOKIE" has ONLY 972.

So:

Japanimports: 2251:1 ratio of satisfied to negative customers that left feedback
intensehid: 162:1 ratio of satisfied to negative customer left feedback
/ END QUOTE

See here, even the seller butted in to TRY to make himself look good.... please.... lol So for a seller that ONLY sells HID, that pretty sad feedback. No seller should EVER have negative if they take care of their customers. See thread here:

The seller That myself & unity prchaced them through is a good guy & he answered all of my e-mails ASAP. Very fast shipping as well! Who ever you get them from, They well look awesome I'm sure!!!!!

Good stuff! I recently refinished my lights with the chrome tape, so these would be a good addition!

Which would you recommend? the 6K or the 4.3K? I just want maximum light on the road, don't care about color.
