That Waxy stuff on the door trim and other stuff....

I used that Goo Off type liquid, let it sit for a few minutes on the plastic and should rub off with your fingers.
Have to be patient, its kinda tedious.

i have had excellent luck with kleen strip prep all on a microfiber towel. You can buy it at walmart. That is, on rigid plastic trim. What is the material made of?

I just did this to all my trim. I soaked all of it in the bathtub with the hottest water I could stand then peeled it off with a plastic scraper for removing caulk. The pass airbag, I used easy off, the scraper and sand paper. I would paint the stuff or wet sand and buff it. The pieces don't look very good after you strip the rubber coating off of them.

If you mean that rubbery coating, you take the pieces off the car you and use oven cleaner. You can just scrape it off with a bondo spreader, then sand them down. I hate that stuff.

guess ill have to get me a can too, i need to redo all the black/grey trim that runs around the inside, not sure what color to repaint it thou...thats the main reason i havent stripped it yet

I hated scraping that crap off the door handle bezels. Used my thumb nail.

Anyway I wish there was a way to respray the plastics with that stuff. It gives the plastics a nicer feel so they dont feel like cheap plastic. Thats what makes a luxury car IMHO. Taking parts and making them not feel cheap.
