Well some of you know that I once had a Mark VIII. Sure, it was nifty with that black hood on an opel body. And that little engine upgrade taken out of a 2004 Aviator. But it was a pain from day one and I am glad its gone.

But now I see a base Gen II. Black on black I think. I drive by it every day. Front slammed but the body looks good. Its been sitting unmoved for near three months now.

Dare I make an offer? Obviously the owner can not fix it or is not interested in doing so.

tempting.... But then I would have two large land yachts to deal with.

you only live once, i said my opal 97 white lsc would be my mark for life, that was 11 mark VIII's ago. go see whats up with it.

Ya, I think the least I can do it just see what the story behind it. Could be a total loss and I am not up for another engine or trans swap!

Go and get another one, you know you wan't to. Come back to the markside, you know you miss the drama these cars can provide. Lol!

+2...

Why on earth would you ask a bunch of fat, obese people if buying a nice juicy double cheeseburger, 10 dozen doughnuts & a chocolate fudge cake is a good idea! Not only are you going to get a "HELL YEAH!" but you are also expected to post pictures of the car here too! Now hurry up & get it while I finish eating my chocolate cake!!!:D

I agree so what does that make me +8 or something. You know you want it and the nice thing is you can use the benz as the DD and make the mark the fun car

Or sell the Benz and fix the mark real nice!

I will never sell the Benz! Hate to say it, but its made so much better than the Mark. Really love it! :) Of course in 1991 my car was sold new for $89k. The marks were less than half that.

I think next week I will stop by or leave a note. I prefer to stop by with cash on hand and not give them time to think about it.

Come by mine :)
