Hey guys,

I currently have about $600.00 bux burning a hole in my paypal account and its time to start doing some stuff to this car. I have a set of brand new 3:73s that were given to me, so I need to find a decent trak loc, anyone got one they want to sell? Anyway though, I figured biggest bang for my buck would be to upgrade the front and rear sway bars. I am planning on ordering both at the same time. I found a seller on ebay that will sell me both front and rear 1 3/8" bars for $330.00. I havent decided however if those bars are too firm. I guess i'm just looking for opinions FROM THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE BARS INSTALLED. I'm not really worried if I lose some of the ride quality, I just sold my SHO a few months ago that had 24/26mm sway bars on it and it would regularly pick up one of the rear wheels. I had that car for 5 years, and the ride never bothered me. Thanks for any input...

My options are 1 1/4" or 1 3/8"

I had the 1 3/8 rear on my 95. It handled great but rode like a donkey with a 1.5 lowered conversion.
if you don't mind the ride, the big one is a curve carver.

I've had the 1 3/8" bars on my SC for over 8 years and 80K miles. It rides a little firmer than my LSC, which has 1 1/4" bars.

If you don't mind a little firmer ride, get the big ones.

I'm running 1 1/4" bars front and rear and the ride isn't to bad. Bad roads are felt pretty good with 'em but these cars were never the smoothest...

I have the 1.25" bars and really dont see a need for larger. My new front bar is over double the weight (feels like it anyway) of the stock bar and the rear is so stiff that if there is more then a 2" difference in rear suspension travel it will lift the inside wheel off the ground.
And my car handles excellent, just ask Sapperfire or twinbipo. :)

On the topic of sway bars, I've heard that the Thunderbird Super Coupe bars are bigger than the Mark VIII's. Is this true? The reason I ask is because I have a friend with a '95 SC he's parting out and if the sway bars are bigger, I'm going to get them for my '96 Mark. I can get both front and rear for $50 bucks. Sounds a lot better than $330 that I can't afford.
