Yesterday I went to a local autocross here in PR. My best time was 1.04.251. Track record is a Evolution 9 with a 54.9 so im not that bad at all being my first time. For the next one on October 26 I hope to have the SCT Tune, some good tires and alignment

Here are some pics that i wanted to share with you:

Enjoy!!

Nice shots. Wish the sceanery was as green around here. I think that should be the transponder, to get actuate times from start to finsh.

The thing on my grille is the transponder for the timing of the laps. It was a lot of fun and many people were surprised by my time with some minor mods

nice pics. you did well for an LS, i'm sure you turned some heads

Yes indeed!! Many people were telling me how crazy I was by running my car on this type of event...this was in the morning but in the afternoon those same people were congratulating me for my effort and driving skills

did you scratch the front bumper on those turns? if not then i'm sure you came really close.

yeah.... that's some crazy weight transfer... if you plan on doing this often, it might pay to keep on eye on the "Land Speed LS" thread... see what he comes up with for higher rate sway bars... Help her stay more flat in the turns

Awesome! That looks like hella fun! Nice time too. I really want to try my LS out at an open track day. Too bad I don' t see 18" Falken Koblenz wheels on there...

hmmmmm I wonder how I'd do on an auto-x track. I can whip the LS around some corners... maybe next season. I have a few things to fix first

and I dont know much about auto x but if an evo only beat you by 9 seconds and thats the record.... I'd say you did pretty well!!!!!

Maybe custom stut tower braces would help too? Looks like it was a blast to run the LS around like that.

Wouldn't help one bit. The towers are already braced; the bar runs up along the firewall. The car itself is about as stiff as it's going to get short of extensive under-body work. They even added a sort of sub-frame connector; I can't remember what year but I can say 03-up have them for sure.

Best bet would be either higher rate springs or higher rate sway bars (especially in the front). Poly A-arm bushings may help a touch, but body roll is a product of suspension travel upon weight shifting... only real solution to this is stiffer suspension components.
