Getting excited. Got the shop cleaned and ready for paint. Got the lifts inside just need to bolt them down now. Had to clean a crap ton of hydraulic fluid up though. Everyone got sprayed as the rams dropped. LOL.
Big CH 5hp air comp is on the way, got strut compressor (hydraulic) and trans jacks on the way, new welder is ready to go, new jacks, air hoses, pressure washer and all that is in already. Just gotta coat the floor after the lifts are bolted in and paint the outside and we are ready to go.
Had an electrician check out everything and hes gonna run me an extra 220 line for the second lift since I bought two of them.
I cant believe I am almost there. Been a dream for two years now and I busted ass to get to this point. Cant wait till its painted and open, I am very excited. :)

Your shop is gonna rock when it's all done. I am envisioning how it will look right now. The hoists are a great touch, especially for us guys with damn unibodies. ;) Haha, who am I fooling, they're required. It's like the pearly gates of a man's car shop heaven. You can lift things up and put them down in such rapid succession. :p I wish I lived closer to you guys. I would definitely join the party.

Congrats Bill. Everything is looking good. Are you thinking of doing painting as well?
Yes, I have 20+ gallons. Shop is gonna be painted Oxford white and all the doors and trim will be Ford Racing Blue.

i'd like to do a 5 minute burn out inside with the doors shut and burn off the rest of my michelin's before you paint and before i get tires!

What a weekend! Was a cluster f all the way. Expected to paint and do the floor Saturday for over a month now but mother nature said no. So that all had to wait till today. We decided to install the lifts....... damn. Bought a Harbor Freight POS special hammer drill and it litrally burst into flames on the first hole. So I bought a Ryobi 1/2" cause my grinder, saw, drill are from them and I had them for years so thought it would work. It got two holes done before it fried. Returned it and got the biggest Makita they had and it fried after two holes...... WTF!? 6 hours latter and $100 in gas and we had two bolts in and two other partial holes. So today I bought the biggest Bosch I could find and some expensive bits. Instead of letting others drill I did it myself while they painted the building. Took me and hour and a hald to drill the remaining 28 holes and install the studs and bolt everything down.

So anyway the building is almost done. We got about 1600 square feet of the floor epoxied and the whole building painted white. Doors are started and will finnish tomorrrow. Also painted the bare wood walls for the office white and matched the shelves in blue. Coming together well. Gotta get some 8' lights and one sodium vapor light and all thats good then.

So heres some teasers. I wanna thank everyone who showed: Jeremy (Sapperfire on LVC and my buisiness partner, dude owling on the lift), John (mr.shovels on Stangnet), his girlfriend and Cameron all for helping. We all busted ass and they are some good good friends. Thanks guys. :)

Also the shops name has changed. Its gonna be called "Laser-Fire Automotive & Performance" :)

And the work continues. Got a shop computer and fax/scanner/copier/printer today and some other crap. We got the other half of the floor epoxied and started setting up the office. After that we got the lift cables ran and hoses hooked up..... well one anyway as the other one is missing a fitting which I will get tomorrow. Got the parts store account started and bought a bucket of Dextron II for the lifts. Glad to say the lift works well. Forgot to take pics of the back half of the floor after it was coated but it turned out well.

Took a couple wide angle pics with my buddies GoPro camera, I want one of those. Excellent wide angle on them. Before calling it a night we decided to give the lift a try. :)

Also have already worked on two cars at the shop while doing the shop prep. LOLZ

So happy that you are living the dream. One day I will have something similar. 15-20 more years for me. lol. It's coming along very nicely!

Shop looks great! I'll tell you about that gray epoxy floor paint you used - friend & I did his bar with it years ago and it lasted about 2 years. Of course, his wife is a clean fanatic and mopped the bajeezus out of it!

Godspeed on the shop and may you make a million!

Props for the Bimmer laser my buddy just bought a 01 740IL. Did the tie rods on it and brakes all the way around. That car put up a decent fight against my truck! That thing launched on me at the lights and I was in 4x4!

Yeah the BMW has a secret launch mode that really allows it to boogie off the line. So far I have gotten a 5.9 0-60 using it. :D

As far as blower install you are prolly only looking at $500 but would spend more in gas. LOL

All good bud I want to travel somewhere this summer anyways maybe I'll tow the mark out and you can check out the "little" modifications it has going on =P

Gettin there. Compressor, trans jack and strut compressor all showed today. Also assembled the press. Got it cleaned up and pretty much painted. Now only have a million small things to do.
