Second Gen Double-DIN Screen?

I can't stand not having navigation and since the Mark VIII is my new daily-driver I'm going to *attempt* to throw in navigation tomorrow. I just got the Kenwood DDX6019 and KNA-G510 Nav and am hoping someone has fit in double-din screens before without too much trouble. I know I'm going to have to bypass the factory JBL amp but as far as fitment is concerned has anyone done this who'd care to speak up? Are there any good diagrams available for bypassing the JBL?

Maybe some pics would be helpful too if anyone has them. Also, I assume removing our stock head unit is fairly straight-forward with the Ford radio removal tools and then our wood trim around the stereo and shifter just pops off? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

A lot of us have double DIN units in our marks. no need to bypass anything if you get the CORRECT adapter harness.

It does'nt just pop off. You have to remove the section that holds the rear defrost button and heated seat controls to remove the 7MM screws holding it down. Then there will be a small ground wire in the bottom on the trim plate.

I've got a Pioneer AVIC-D2 in my 95, and LOVE it. I've done an install in a Gen2 also.
