I had Stang1 (Joe) repair 2 drivers side seat trim bezels for me. I have tried the plastic epoxy welder stuff with mixed results. Joe actually used a true plastic welding process. Joe is a body guy so you are getting a pro quality job done with pro grade equipment. They came out great. One was in pieces and is now as strong as new. If you are looking to repair yours and want something a little more permanent than eopxy shoot him a message. Price was more than reasonable considering what you have to pay for good replacements these days.

He can even build up missing sections or add reinforcement which he did on mine in a few places. Here are some before and after pics.

I need to find the cover. The one with allot of repair was in pieces at that end and was previously epoxied. I was just hoping it would be mountable. It fit perfect.
 
I'm gonna have to do that to my driver's seat on my LSC. The side trim is almost completely separated. I'm thinking about using fiberglass. I'm going to have to take the door panel off and fiberglass it like I did my '96 when it started to disintegrate. So I firgured since I was going to be using fiberglass, I'd use it to fix the seat trim too.

And then maybe covered with leather that matches the seat?

That's a thought. But the fiberglass will not be visible since it will be on the inside of the plastic trim piece and inside the door panel. I'm just thinking out loud right now. I haven't taken the trim off yet to see exactly what has to be done. I don't know how bad it is.
 
Nice work, Joe!

That trim piece is one of those things that almost always seem to be boogered on these cars, along with the piece above the steering column.

I can repair this piece also.
 
I would like to get $50. for time and material. Please let me know if your interested.
 
I'm pretty sure both sides are pretty trashed on my car. Can you do anything without having broken pieces to put back in place?

I would need pics. What color is your interior? I have some repaired ones for sale.

If I remember, I will get some pics tomorrow of each side, if I can get to the spots close enough without removing them.

I had great success with Loctite 498 superglue. If it's a clean break, that stuff makes a bond that's stronger than the surrounding plastic (press pieces together as hard as you can, you need pressure for the bond). I used it everywhere, it made my beatass interior look like new.
 
I cut the center mounts off a spare passenger side trim piece and fit them to the driver's side with ZAP CA superglue and accelerant. Then I filled the mounts solid with Plastic Weld epoxy. Hopefully this will reinforce that thin plastic.
