Well a week ago, I painted the chroming on my Base Mark VIII, but I wasnt happy with the outcome. It had rained a few minutes after I put the clear coat and completely ruined the job. Well today I decided on sanding it all down and repainted it. Check out the finally finished job.

yeah I know, its an old phone but hey it still works....and I go by the saying that "If it aint broke dont fix it" so its not broke so i aint replacing until it breaks. I will post better pics asap...with the digital camera.

Agreed, Octastars belong on that 97. Would help the looks 100 X's. Paint job looks good btw. Never seen that color before though.

and who has a set of ocstars at a decent price? mostly whenever they have a set they go for over 500.....and right now thats to much for me to expend on wheels.

Jamie cut me a pretty good deal on mine. I really don't wanna mention the price I paid but I'm sure he would be your best option for some of them if he has a set. I can say I didn't pay near that price for all 4 being shipped to me. The rims were nearly mint and still are. When I took the snowflakes off mine and put the Octastars on, that made all the difference in the world on my car. Not everyone likes them but I don't get what others like and I also wanted to stay OEM with my rims. I wanted those or either the chrome Conti rims and I couldn't find anyone to come off any of them for a decent price. Check the junk yards, you never know what you might find and sometimes you have to get one here and there until you end up with a set of four. Right now there are 2 on ebay but those two are a little high but in mint condition. I thought about buying one more just for a spare. The seller might cut you a deal if you buy both. Doesn't hurt to ask but they don't have center caps. Another seller has 4 of those on ebay too. Looks like they need a good polishing.
